CLASSIFICATION OF LIVING THINGS
Living things are born, grow, reproduce and die.
Living things have three life processes:
nutrition, interaction and reproduction.
We classify animals and plants into two kingdoms…
VERTEBRATES
Mammals
• are viviparous.
• For example: lion and panda
Birds
• have feathers.
• For example: parrot and owl
Reptiles
• have scales.
• For example: Snake and crocodile
Amphibians
• have wet skin.
• For example: Frog and salamander
Fish
• have fins and live in the water.
• For example: shark and lionfish.
Arthropods have three body parts: head, thorax and abdomen.

Spiders and insects are arthropods.
FOOD CHAIN
A food chain can be defined as…
a system that explains the feeding system between different living things in a particular environment.
