The project will establish a network platform for continuous and
structured cooperation on a mutual benefit basis between:

• Academia; Geological Surveys and other relevant entities for the mining sector

THE STAKEHOLDER MAP AND
PARTICIPATION
• The analysis of the list of stakeholders should show the objectives, motivations, impact and influence of the various stakeholder groups and the results of that should be recorded on a platform so that the user has a real understanding of the state in Which is the activities of each of the interested parties
After completing the stakeholder map, a communication plan will be developed focusing on each group / And its potential impact on the project.

En el día de hoy, sostuve una prolongada reunión con los ejecutivos del Servicio Geológico
Colombiano, SGC; encabezados por su director el Señor Oscar Paredes Zapata, quien al
mismo tiempo es el Presidente de la Asociación de Servicios de Geología y Minería
Iberoamericanos, ASGMI.
Durante el encuentro y luego de haber presentado a los presentes nuestro proyecto: Mineral
Development Network Platform MGNP; conversamos sobre este asunto el señor Paredes se
mostró muy interesado en conocer cómo se asegurará la sostenibilidad de la plataforma
como instrumento para fortalecer las relaciones EU – Al.
De esa conversación y del análisis hecho con el director del SGC y su equipo, concordamos
en lo siguiente:
1. El próximo martes 16, el señor Paredes, sostendrá la primera reunión del Directorio de
ASGMI y habida cuenta de que algunos miembros ya han tenido información sobre el
MDNP, les propondrá que ese organismo participe en la cita de Madrid.
2. La presentación hecha será distribuida entre todos los miembros de la Asociación
3. Ya ha habido algunas conversaciones informales entre los servicios geológicos, en
particular en La Habana, Cuba; en noviembre pasado; sobre este asunto y en desarrollo de
ellas, el Presidente de ASGMI, nos pide por intermedio mío, que el METS considere como
invitados especiales a un representante de cada Servicio Geológico de los siete países
4. Que la ASGMI, solicita su presidente, cuente en el METS, con un espacio para que haga
presencia en ese evento.
5. Considera el señor Paredes, que como institución de amplio espectro internacional, la
ASGMI, está en condiciones de formalizar un acuerdo con la Unión Europea, que permita
darle sostenibilidad a la plataforma, coordinando para ello la participación técnica de los
Servicios Geológicos de los siete países vinculados al MDNP y no solicita que hagamos
conocer esto a las autoridades de la UE, para buscar la aproximación necesaria que
eventualmente permita un acuerdo para garantizar la sostenibilidad de la plataforma.
6. Nos pide además el señor presidente de ASGMI, que, pese a que falta muy poco tiempo
para el encuentro de Madrid, que consideremos la inclusión de la Asociación
Iberoamericana, en la agenda académica del METS, en una presentación de este organismo
muy vinculado como esta otras actividades de la Unión Europea, tal como lo puede
referencias el Señor Vicente Gabaldón, Secretario General del ASGMI y con sede en
Madrid.
Creo que sería oportuno, que tú y yo, muy pronto; sostuviéramos una charla por Skype, de
acuerdo con tu agenda; para ampliar esta que considero, es una muy buena oportunidad de
diseminación de nuestro proyecto.
Debo recordar que, en el Consejo de Dirección de la ASGMI, están cuatro de los siete
países del MDNP: Argentina Colombia (que preside), México; Perú y la Secretaria General
la desarrolla España
