A PEST ANALYSIS OF HUL IN NEWZEALANDPresented By:Achyut Brahma (03)Amit Kr. Gupta (07)Anupama Chanda (10)Farhad Mazumder(24)

06-08-201211INTRODUCTIONThe estimated population of the country is about 4.4 million. It maintained most of the previous governments' economic reforms restricting government intervention in the economy putting more emphasis on social policy and outcomes. For example, employment law was modified to give more protection to workers, and the student loan system was changed to eliminate interest payments for New Zealand resident students and graduates. Foreign policy has been essentially independent since the mid 1980s.06-08-20122What is PEST Analysis? There are many factors in the macro-environment that will effect the decisions of the managers of any organisation. Tax changes, new laws, trade barriers, demographic change and government policy changes are all examples of macro change. To help analyse these factors managers can categorise them using the PEST model.

European and Mori remain the two largest ethnicities, but the large Polynesian population in Auckland has prompted the observation that Auckland is now the largest Polynesian city in the world.
