So by achieving AAT membership you have already begun your journey to becoming an ACCA member through your exemptions.
Whilst studying for your ACCA professional qualification you can also gain recognised qualifications on your way, and study flexibly to achieve your career goals
- On passing papers F4 – F9 and the Professional Ethics Module you will achieve the Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Business. The Advanced Diploma is a great qualification to have, and is a another step on your way to becoming an ACCA member.
- Also, in an exclusive partnership with Oxford Brookes University, you also have the option to gain a BSc (Hons) in Applied Accounting while studying towards the ACCA Qualification.
In order to achieve this you will need to complete a Research and Analysis Project, which consists of a research report, learning statement and a presentation on the project.
You will then move onto the Professional Level exams and sit P1-P3 and two options from P4-P7.

‘My Experience’
Throughout your journey to ACCA membership, you will have been demonstrating your practical accountancy skills by completing and recording your relevant work experience. Most of you will already have three years’ experience behind you, so this will count towards your Practical Experience Requirements (PER).
You access My Experience through myACCA, which all students have once they register with ACCA. Once you have entered into My Experience this is the first screen you will see.
You can see in this case that this trainee’s My Experience record shows they are currently employed in a relevant role; they have completed 10 months of work experience; and they have achieved three performance objectives. This will really help you to see at a glance if your record is correct and up to date.
You should keep your My Experience record updated as you go along. If ACCA hasn’t heard from you for several weeks, you will get a pop up reminder screen when you log into myACCA asking you to update My Experience.
