Presentation of $2000 to Jannif for the purchase of shoes for the children at the home Daisy, myself and Ser went to Jamiyah home to introduce ourselves as the team to Jannif, the Super- intendent at Jamiyah home. We toured the home and we spoke about the needs of the 68 children resident in them home ranging from ages 7-21 years old. We were specifically asked for two interventions: A) donation of shoes for the children who are able to share clothes but not footwear, and B) reading program to help the children with English Other needs identified by the home include a need for music teachers as they have a music room with many instruments but no teachers. We asked that our donation from last year be put to building new cupboards in the laundry area for the children. The home has very few material wants as these are taken care of by the government, however, the children need guidance, attention and care. The cost for this is our time, be a gift to the world and give some of your time to help this home. Contact Daisy as the community service team leader to volunteer yourself!
