WHO WE ARE: · Pacific Direct Line (PDL) specialise in liner shipper services to the South Pacific Region. · Have been trading in the region for over 40 years · Managed by the same family since it’s formation, Prides itself on that close family bond which is the backbone of the shipping company and all its subsidiary businesses. · Core business is to provide shipping services from New Zealand and Australia to the Pacific Islands, repositioned the business over the last nine years (since PIL took a shareholding) allowing weekly services from all over the World to the South Pacific Islands.

Transam - is the name of the Pacific Direct Line shipping agency network that operates throughout the South Pacific. Transam Shipping Agencies are the largest shipping agency network in the South Pacific, and have been operating since 1993. We have eleven Transam Shipping Agencies located in American Samoa, Fiji, New Caledonia, Tuvalu, Norfolk Island, Samoa, Tahiti, Tonga, Vanuatu, Cook Islands Wallis Island . Some agencies are in JV with local people ,the rest are PDL owned entities

The core business activity is ship agencies, but Transam have diversified into Cruise Ship support, Container depots, Cartage, Stevedoring, Customs clearances Tourism ventures. As with all Pacific Islands you often find one agency representing many Shipping Lines and Freight Forwarders Transam Shipping Agencies in various ports represent international shipping lines such as Pacific International Lines Pacific Direct Line Hamburg Sud Maersk Line Marfret Compagnie Maritime Swires NYK And many Forwarders such as Vanguard Logistics, Kalgin, Mondiale , Agility Transam Shipping Agencies are all equipped with modern computer systems for Manifests, Bills of Lading, Container Tracking & Accounting. Transam Shipping Agencies can all arrange Customs clearance & inland cartage of cargo for door to door delivery service for customers. In addition to the Transam Shipping Agencies network, Pacific Direct Line also have agents in other South Pacific Ports such as Honiara, Tarawa, Majuro and Christmas Island.
