Act 1, Scene 1

For the opening scene the lights would be formed into a chandelier to provide a warm, rich and home feel to the stage. While Thesus and Philostrate are having a discussion about their wedding the warmness of the lights will create an intimate feel as well. A few strobe lights will be in center stage stacked on top each other to make this chandelier look

ACT 1, Scene 1As Egegus, Hermia, Lysander, and Demetrius enters to speak with Thesus the spotlights will

enter to create a seriousness as well as letting the audience know the mood is changing and who the

focus is on.

ACT 1, Scene 2When Quince, Sung, Bottom, Flute, Snut and Staveling enter the room Picture 1’s lights will be shining down on them and Picture 2’s lights will be shining on the left and right side. The gentlemen are discussing what they are going to do for the ducth and dutchess’s wedding so this is are is very bright so they can see what is going on as well as the audience.

Act 2, Scene 1

Confrontation arises between Oberon and Titania as he wants her Indian prince. Titania refuses and Oberon seeks revenge by getting Puck to find a flower that will make Titania fall in love with anything

she first lays her eyes upon when waking up from sleep.

This shows how dark it was because Puck was doing something sneaky and the purple indicates the love Titania will feel when

she awakes.

Act 2 Scene 2Titania falls asleep, and Oberon walks in and squeezes the flower

on Titania’s eyelids. In this same scene, Helena chases after Demetrius while he searches for Lysander and Hermia. Puck mistakenly puts the flower juice on Lysanders eyelid. Helena

stumbles upon Lysander. He awakes and falls in love with Helena.

The color changes to red in this scene to indicate that Puck made a mistake with the with the flower potion.

Act 3 Scene 1Puck informs Oberon about the Titania situation. Oberon finds out that Puck put the flower juice on the wrong person and demands him to fix it. Hermia is weary about where Lysander is.

Act 4 Scene 1

Oberon gets Titania to give up the Indian boy, he then undoes the love spell. Puck

also undoes the spell for Bottom original head back. Theseus later enters with Hippolyta and Egeus to

where lysander, Demetrius, Hermia, and

Helena are sleeping demanding the end conclusion of their choices. They don’t

remember. They all then go to have a wedding

feast.

This indicates Titana giving up and falling in love with the wrong guy

Everyone gathers around. The men finally gather to perform
