PiMar is a natural extension of the activity of the Marrocco family in the field of natural stone, and which finds itsroots in the last century.

The acquired know-how is very high with a history of about 150 years, transmitted from generation to generation.

The main activity of PiMar is represented by the extraction of natural stone from its own quarries and thetransformation of the same products for architecture and construction items.

The company has an area of about 40 hectares of quarries and it is areference point on national and international markets with prestigiousarchitectural projects.

PiMar is proud of his prestigious collaborations with architects, designersand internationally renowned artists such as Philippe Starck, Alvaro Siza,Renzo Piano and Steven Holl.

Equipped by highly skilled artisans and architects with great experience,PiMar produces design objects and architectural elements that becameunique and original objects.

Alvaro Siza is now working for the requalification of Cave Ex Marco Vito in Lecce, huge quarries wich will become a green area full of culture and nature.

Always with Alvaro Siza it has been realized, just few week ago, the conceptual project ‘’Rifugio’’, installed in a Century old Oliveto in the heart of Salento, Apulia.

With Philippe Starck It has been realized 8 coloumns in Pimar Beige Limestone for the interior colonnade of the Alhondiga Museum in Bilbao, Spain.

All the interior and exterior cladding of this project has been realized with our coral limestone using the most modern ventilated façade systems. A “crater” opens up in the center of the circular building with a 320 meter diameter.

STEVEN HOLLINVERSION HYBRID, MILAN - ITALY

Steven Holl opened the installation INVERSION, presented as part of INTERNI's Hybrid Architecture exhibition event, during Design Week in Milan in the Cortile ‘700 of the Università degli Studi di Milano, with six void-cut PiMar Limestone blocks, which framed a sheet of water.
