Introduction

Prague is a very popular city to visit thanks to it’s long

interesting history, weather and attractions.

Tourist attractions

Prague is home to many tourist attractions such as Wenceslas square home to it’s famous statue

named St. Wenceslas monument.

Charles Bridge towers over the Vltava river and was built before cement .

The Vltava river runs through all of Prague. It’s German name is Elbe.

Weather

The average weather in Prague’s summer is approximately 23 Degree Celsius. It can rise to 29 Degree Celsius.

Winter days it would normally plummet to 2 Degree Celsius sometimes even -2 Degree Celsius.

PopulationThe current population of Prague is around 1,264,785 and

counting.

Czech in the OlympicsIn the 2012 London

Olympics Czech brought back ten medals in total consisting of four gold, three silver and three

bronze. Rowing was their strongest medal source with one gold and one silver. They finished

19th/79.

Famous People

Czech Republic is the birth place of many famous

people. One of them being Petr Cech who is famous for being the Chelsea F.C goalkeeper. Unfortunately he had a very bad head injury which means he

had to wear a protective hat.

FoodGuláš – Czech goulash is not quite as spicy as its Hungarian counterpart and it

is basically a rich beef stew served without vegetables in the mix.  Knedliky dumplings are the primary side dish of choice to eat with your Guláš. 

Additionally, even though the primary meat for this dish is beef, there are dishes that are made with chicken or venison as well as vegetarian varieties of the dish.

DrinkCzech Republic is known for it’s amazing beer. Millions of people

would come to Czech to try their legendary beer.
