Welcome to ‘Shine’!

Dancers from our Ridgewell and Clare classes aged from 2 ½ years

upwards will be performing Ballet, Tap, Modern and Street Dance to

a variety of music made famous by TV, film and theatre productions.

Many performers took part in our last show ‘Premiere’ in February

2010 and return to the stage two years on. For several students this

is their first performance on a stage. I am exceedingly proud of each

and every pupil for their courage, enthusiasm and hard work.

Since our last show in February 2010 pupils have taken part in many

displays and events including: Haverhill Annual Show, Balsham June

Revels, Ridgewell Horticultural Show and Clare Fun day. In February

2011 70 pupils entered ISTD examinations, achieving a 100% pass

rate which is fantastic! The school has continued to grow; we now

have around 250 pupils attending weekly classes. I believe this is all

due to the hard work and commitment the children and parents

have shown and I would like to thank you for helping me to be able

to do this. Stacey has joined us as a class assistant and is now a

valued member of our team. Tasha has also joined us as a qualified

dance teacher and is looking forward to starting new classes with us

next term.

I feel privileged to be part of each pupil’s learning process and strive

to provide classes that enable each individual to achieve their best.

Most importantly I aim for our classes to be fun and enjoyable for all

and I thank you for being part of this.

A very big thank you to my mum Jean for once again making so many of the costumes for us! A special thank you to Stacey for all her hard work assisting me in classes throughout the year.
