Day 1 - QUITO (-/-/-)

Welcome to Quito and Ecuador!. At the airport you will be greeted by a member of our

organization, we will escort you all the way to your hotel, giving you a short briefing about

Quito and the country in general with valuable information you need to know. Enjoy scenic

colonial and artistic Quito, visit museums, monasteries and the golden altars of its many

churches. Stand with a foot on each hemisphere on the Middle of the World memorial. The

capital of Ecuador has a setting that few cities in the world can match. During the 13th

century it was the prosperous center of the Kingdom of Quitus. It later became the northern

capital of the Inca Empire. In the 16th and 17th centuries, Colonial architects built formidable

temples, monasteries and mansions, creating an urban jewel designated by UNESCO/UN as

a World Cultural Heritage Site. Quitos artistic creativity awaits the visitor in cosmopolitan

galleries and boutiques filled with contemporary paintings, sculptures and exquisite

traditional crafts.

Day 2 - QUITO (B/L/-)

Tour: Live Quito Like a Local

A day dedicated to exploring the lives, beliefs, cuisine and traditions of Old Town Quito, the

first city named a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1978, and a revelation to many people.

The tour is all about ‘living Quito like a local’, visiting shops, exploring markets, meeting local

herbal healers, wandering the streets, learning skills from artisans, and enjoying a lunch at

a restaurant in Old Town.

We head out for a walking tour of the Old Town, intent on understanding more about the

people who live in the largest and best-restored historical Centre in the Americas. We begin

by meeting our local resident guide, part of a grassroots NGO organization that has created

a walking tour of its Quito neighborhood, called San Roque. The guide takes us through the

nearby streets, stopping to meet artisans, shopkeepers, hat makers and sweet confectioners.

Up the hill on Calle Rocafuerte, we explore the San Francisco Market, one of the oldest in the

capital. Here, we learn all about the fruit and vegetables produced in Ecuador and some

culinary traditions.

We also have the chance to meet and learn from one of the local herbal healers who have

locales in the market.

From the market, we walk downhill to the emblematic street of La Ronda, considered one of

the flagship regeneration projects in the city. It’s a quiet, cobbled street with typical balconies

overflowing with geraniums. Here we visit the Manos en La Ronda project and meet artisans

in the workshops. We then visit the chocolatier on the ground floor, where we enjoy a snack

and have a chance to discover and taste the finest chocolate in the world – which, of course,

comes from Ecuador..!

From La Ronda, we walk northwards through the handsome streets of the Old Town to the

Plaza Grande, the political heart of the city. Following a brief explanation, we stroll to the

Jesuit church of La Compañía with its stunning gold-leaf interior. Returning back to Plaza San

Francisco, we visit the church, choir and pretty patios of the Franciscan order before arriving

at Casa Gangotena, on the same square, for a lunch of Ecuadorian specialties prepared by

the hotel’s talented chefs.

In the afternoon, we cross the street to the excellent Casa del Alabado Archaeological

Museum. It houses a fantastic collection of pieces dating back some 5,000 years, arrayed

beautifully within a restored 17th-century colonial mansion.

This tour also includes a visit to a panoramic viewpoint to appreciate Quito in all its Andean

splendor.

Day 3 - QUITO (B/L/D)

Tour: Otavalo Cultural Experience with typical lunch

Description

Otavalo is currently considered one of the most important tour destinations in Ecuador, due

to its ancestral cultural heritage, enriched by millenary traditions, myths, legends and

customs together with Andean landscapes of outstanding beauty: mountains, lakes,

waterfalls and rivers, which as per the Otavalo Cosmovision, possess life and energy.

This full-day excursion offers an in-depth experience into the traditional way of living of the

Otavalo people, their history, customs, handicrafts and, very importantly, music. Lunch is at

an Indian home, lovingly prepared in the traditional way, so guests have the opportunity to

taste the Andean delicacies.

Early departure from Quito towards the north along the Pan American Highway, to the

famous market of Otavalo -visit the textile and vegetable markets- and then continue on to

Peguche, a small Indian town just five minutes north of Otavalo. The people of Peguche are

famous for the weavings, done in pedal shuttle looms and also in the ancient back-strap

loom where the finest belts or fajas are exquisitely woven. Guests have the opportunity to

roam around the town, go into the houses -- which are open to visit, observe, photograph

and shop for handcrafts. The natives of Peguche often travel all over the world selling their

merchandise of good quality and bright colors, such as wall hangings, blankets, scarves,

shawls, baby alpaca sweaters, woven belts and many other items. Peguche is also well known

for the music groups and shops where Andean musical instruments are produced, such as

the large panflutes or zampoñas, quena flutes, drums, charangos and guitars. The artisans

will delight you by playing the instruments they manufacture.

The adventure begins in Ecuador’s heritage capital, Quito, at our 8:30 a.m. pick-up time for

Mashpi Reserve, a 1,200-hectare (3,000-acre) conservation property located within the

Metropolitan District of Quito, forms a part of the Ecuadorian Choco rainforest, known as one

of the world’s greatest biodiversity hotspots. The sudden shift in altitude from 2,800 masl to

1,000 masl (9,200 to 3,300 feet above sea level) will allow us to discover the spectacular

natural diversity of the Andean landscape as we travel through the dry valley of Pomasqui

towards the cordillera’s western flank, into lush, misty cloud forest, and enter the magical

world of Mashpi.

After lunch and a briefing, we will be comfortably settled in our room where we will be able

to rest before starting with our afternoon activities. During the briefing we will be introduced

to the cloud forest and its conservation, the activities from which we can choose during our

stay, and helpful tips about what to wear and what to bring to the excursions.

After a short rest, we will gather together at the lobby in order to head out on our first

adventure exploring one of the trails of the Reserve, chosen by the guides depending on

daily conditions. This walk will serve as an introduction to the ecological succession processes

and the importance of forest conservation for the Chocó region. All of our trails offer great

scenic beauty and each includes a unique attraction, such as a forest of “iron palm” (Iriartea

deltoidea), special birdwatching opportunities, or other unexpected surprises.

For all our guests interested in knowing more about the cloud forest’s ecology, every evening

we give a series of different lectures like the “Secret Wildlife of Mashpi, the trap camera

project”, or the “Chocó, a biological hotspot”, which talk about the formation and diversity

of the Chocó, and our scientific research projects. The lectures will be given by one of our

naturalists or our resident biologist at 7:30 p.m.

Day 5 – MASHPI LODGE (B/L/D)

The forest always rewards the “early birds”, as the dawn light lures a variety of fascinating

species in their search for food. A good place to find birds is actually right at the hotel’s

terrace, with a cup of fresh coffee, tea or hot chocolate in hand, from where we can enjoy

not only the beauty of the forest but also the many species that come to feed on insects and

fruits at nearby trees. Our guides will help us spot what’s around, offering a peek inside their

telescope for a close-and-personal view of the incredible bird richness Mashpi possesses.

This activity begins at 6:30 a.m. and lasts about an hour. Then, enjoy breakfast at our hotel

restaurant.

recommend the best daily programme for you and your group depending on your interests,

your level of physical fitness and daily weather and trail conditions. Choose from our many

Trails

As you enter the realm of the rainforests, you will become aware of life at every step:

mushrooms and “fox fire” fungi below, tree trunks festooned with orchids, lichens and

mosses, giant ferns reaching up to the light above, coiling vines, swirling mists and clouds

of moisture. And then, from nowhere, comes the sound of rushing water, a waterfall amid

this glistening, green world, where you can wade through rivers, walk along their banks,

revive your senses...

Two of the Lodge’s main trails are the Howler Monkey and Magnolia (named after an oak)

trails. Both link up with the Tower #5 of the Dragonfly canopy gondola system. Along the

trails, guests will learn more from both their Naturalist Guide and Local Guide about the

myriad plants, insects and animals that inhabit this biodiverse universe. The guides will

enthusiastically share their knowledge of their characteristics, behavior, and uses.

Due to Mashpi’s mountainous topography, trails are rarely flat. The Howler Monkey (mainly

primary forest) and Magnolia (mainly secondary), although short – 2 km and 700 m,

respectively – are steep. The trails’ steepness is an advantage since the hillsides enable more

light to penetrate the forest, thereby increasing the diversity of plants and animals that one

can observe at each stratum. Both trails have been specially adapted to make walking easier,

using embedded recycled plastic crates to create steps and firm paths.

The way back uphill on both these trails can be aboard the Dragonfly, reached by wading

through the shallow river in rubber boots, and walking the connecting trail to the Cotinga

Tower.

A popular trail after completing the Sky Bike activity (see below) takes us to San Vicente

waterfall, a 45-minutes-to-an-hour steep hike that demands good physical condition. You

can also hike the Oxibelis trail that takes us to a small waterfall before heading back to the

lodge. The combination of activities (Sky Bike, observation tower and hike) can take between

2 to 4 hours, depending on the trail chosen.

The Copal Waterfall trail offers a beautiful 2-hour-long hike featuring a landscape of moss-

covered trees, bromeliads and orchids at every corner. The trail ends at a spectacular

waterfall over 50 m high.

A refreshing natural juice and fresh towels will be waiting for us when we return the lodge,

along with a varied and delicious lunch at the hotel restaurant. And the afternoon is yet again

free for other activities. Consult your guide about the trail options and forest adventures that

are best for you.

Refreshing waterfalls

Water is key to life in Mashpi, and there’s nothing like a refreshing dip at the end of a walk.

Several rivers cross the Mashpi Reserve close to the hotel, many forming beautiful small

waterfalls, cascades and pools. The water temperature is between 18 and 20°C (64 and 68

°F).

Life Centre

Close to the lodge, the Life Centre is conceived as a place for learning and discovery, but

also as a space for guests to disconnect, contemplate the views, sit in comfortable chairs,

read a book, and enjoy a fresh cane juice.

The best way to reach the Life Centre is actually through the forest, so we take what we’ve

come to call the “Howler Monkey’s trail”. This path crosses primary forest dominated by

many ancient trees, being the “copal” (Dacryodes cupularis) the most emblematic of them.

We occasionally get to listen to rare birds, such as the Rufous-fronted Wood-quail

(Odontophorus erythrops) or the Rufous-crowned Antpitta (Pittasoma rufopileatum). Our

guides are keen on noticing every sound that comes from the forest deep, hoping to reveal

colourful birds or elusive howler monkeys, while our naturalist guide explains the habitat’s

ecology; both share with us their extensive knowledge on forest plants and their medicinal

uses.

Once at the Centre, guests will learn more about the butterflies that inhabit the region, being

shown the process of these creatures from eggs to pupae to chrysalis to winged wonder.

Some 200 species of butterfly have been identified to date in the Reserve, with nearly a

dozen observable at the Centre. Other points of learning dozens of species of orchids,

bromeliads and passion flowers all around the structure. We will also discover various species

of host plants that butterflies use to lay their eggs on, such as passion flowers, birds of

paradise, milk weeds and other species found in the garden.

Close to the Centre, we have established an area for growing medicinal plants (ideal for a

reviving herbal infusion) and beyond, many varieties of bushes and fruit trees, including

banana and plantain, manioc, cacao, tobacco, coffee, bread fruit, and heart of palm. These

attract all sorts of wildlife, from birds to rodents to mammals – making for easier observation

from the comfort of the Centre’s expansive wooden deck. Most of the interpretation at the

Centre will be imparted by local guides or people involved with the project from local

communities. Guests will find ingredients from these gardens in the dishes prepared back at

the lodge.

Observation Tower

There are few easier or better ways to appreciate the beauty of the Mashpi Reserve’s forest

and hills than climbing the Observation Tower. Here, guests are able to enjoy an exciting

bird’s-eye view and the dramatic panoramas that surround the lodge from the observation

tower. This is a metallic structure, with a staircase that climbs to about eight-stories high

(26 m or 85 ft), ideal for wildlife observation, particularly at dawn or dusk. Species that can

be spotted here include toucans, woodpeckers, barbets, tanagers and parrots as well as

raptors. The tower lies a 10-minute walk from the lodge.

Looming above the treetops, Mashpi’s observation tower allows our guests to enjoy the

protected forest in all its glory. At 30 m (100 ft) above the ground, this is an ideal site for

nature lovers, allowing us not only to appreciate the forest’s complex structure, but also the

incredible species richness that thrives throughout the canopy (70% of the forest’s

biodiversity is found here). We climb 162 steps to reach the top.

Dragonfly

Of course, if we really want to see the amazing canopy life, we need to get a birds’ eye view.

Luckily, this is now possible, thanks to the Dragonfly canopy ride. Glide through the tree tops

at a relaxed pace and view the dense forest, interrupted by cascading waterfalls, from an

air-born perspective. In 40 minutes, the Dragonfly takes us on a route covering 2 km (1.25

mi) and gives us the opportunity to appreciate the true immensity of the Reserve, contrasting

delightfully with the discoveries of minute life forms that we achieve on walks through the

dense forest below. Enjoy the Dragonfly on its own or combine it with other hikes and

activities to make the most of your journey.

Sky Bike

Located close to the hotel, the Sky Bike provides another original and exciting way to explore

the forest canopy up close. Designed for two people to use at once, one person pedals the

bike along a cable stretched between two points in the forest, around 200 m (655 feet) apart,

crossing a gorge above a river flowing between rocks and trees below. Silent, easy-to-use

and fun, it’s an activity for children over 8 years-old accompanied by an adult, providing

guests with another chance to observe the natural world close to the lodge and even spot its

denizens. To enjoy the ride, one must be at least 1 m tall (3.2 ft) (children must be

accompanied by an adult). The bike ride takes no more than 20 minutes.

Hummingbird Viewpoint

The forests of Mashpi boast 32 hummingbird species identified to date, inhabiting different

specific altitudes, with around 19 species alone observable by guests. In order to make it

easier to see these amazing creatures, a shelter with seating provides the ideal setting, with

feeders for the birds strung from its roof. The site is located at a natural viewpoint, which,

on clear days, provides breathtaking views of the Reserve’s forested hills.

Night walks

The Mashpi forest is transformed at night, with far more activity visible than during the day.

Optional night walks will head out from the hotel after dinner to discover its nocturnal

creatures and their behaviour. The species range from moths as big as your hand to

miniature glass and tree frogs, croaking toads, birds, owls, rodents and mammals, and even

fox fire, an Avatar-like luminous fungus. It’s a magical world, often astounding at the micro

level, and seldom explored, ready to be discovered in expert company.

Wellness Centre

The peaceful surroundings of the Reserve call out for a spiritual moment in which we unite

body, mind and spirit. Keep up your practice at the yoga deck or just lie back and enjoy a

massage, time in the outdoor hot tub (see which birds you can spot while you soak), or any

of our spa treatments.

Night briefings

Each evening, at 7:30 p.m., our Naturalist Guides or resident biologist share the wonders of

the Mashpi with our guests. Learn about ongoing research projects, conservation initiatives,

natural history of the region and much, much more.

Day 6 – MASHPI LODGE / QUITO - (B/BL/-)

Once again, our day begins early at 6:30 a.m. in the hotel lobby and takes advantage of the

fact that many bird species come to the hotel to feed. After a cup of coffee, we walk down

the road seeking out mixed-species feeding flocks: these usually feature different

insectivorous bird species that move together while foraging. In a single flock, we may see

over 20 different species, making these more-or-less common encounters an undeniable

treat for bird aficionados. The activity takes one hour; we return to the lodge for breakfast.

There is time for a short hike today or one of our other activities. Check with your guide for

the best option.

We return to the hotel for check out at 11:00 a.m. Our transfer leaves Mashpi Lodge at 11:30

a.m. We will be given a complimentary box lunch to enjoy during our drive back to Quito.

DETAILED ITINERARY

AM: Arrival to San Cristobal Airport with transfer to M/T Camila

Welcome to the Galapagos Islands aboard the M/T Camila. The guide and crew will greet you

and show you to your accommodations upon your arrival. Afterwards, the guide and cruise

manager will hold a short briefing on all safety and emergency protocols, different areas of

the vessel and the normal routine of the itinerary.

PM: San Cristobal - Lobos Island/Kicker Rock

Lobos Island is aptly named after the many sea lions that reside here resting and playing

along the rocky shores. It is also home to many different birds like pelicans, frigate birds and

their nests, yellow warblers and more. Within the small channel the waters are very clear,

making it easy to find sea turtles, sea lions, stingrays and perhaps even white-tipped sharks.

Activities: Short hiking, swimming and snorkeling.

Difficulty: Easy/Moderate

Landing: Dry

Possible Wildlife: Sea lions, various shorebirds, sally light foot crabs, frigate birds.

Pitt Point, San Cristobal

Day 8 – MT CAMILA (B/L/D)

When arriving to Pitt Point, it will feel almost like you’ve landed on an extraterrestrial planet.

You can see the many different developments over time of how volcanic activity formed this

island. A hike up to the top beholds amazing views of the surrounding waters. Watch out for

blue-footed boobie nests on the ground and keep an eye out for the red-footed boobies

nesting in the trees once you reach the top of the island.

Activities: Hiking and kayaking.

Possible Wildlife: Sea lions, various shorebirds, sally lightfoot crabs, Nazca boobies, blue-

footed boobies, red-footed boobies.

PM: San Cristobal - Witch Hill

Passing by on a panga your guide and crew will show you amazing rock formations formed

by the passing of time and erosion of the sea. You’ll finally arrive to a beautiful white sandy

beach to spend the time swimming or basking in the sun. Frolic with sea lions who may swim

by playfully or take a walk down the entire beach and back.

Activities: Panga ride, swimming and snorkeling.

Waved Albatross launching into flight - Suarez Point, Española Island

Day 9 – MT CAMILA (B/L/D)

AM: Española - Suarez Point

This is the only nesting site in Galapagos where the Waved Albatross nests. They come back

only once a year to meet the same mate, year after year. They spend the rest of the year at

sea. Apart from these amazing birds are the Galapagos Hawks that can be seen and the

amazing formations and blow hole on the other side of the island, reached by a hike.

Possible Wildlife: Sea lions, marine iguanas, Galapagos hawk, waved albatross, red-billed

tropic birds, various shorebirds, sally lightfoot crabs.

PM: Española - Gardner Bay / Osborn Islet

Gardner Bay is an excellent place to see sea lions lounging on the beach while mockingbirds

get up close to see if they can steal water or crumbs. Over time, the mockingbird must have

been offered water or food from tourists and now they have no fear of walking on your things

or landing very close to you. It is so important not to feed or touch the animals. It can disrupt

their normal behaviors and threaten their future.

Activities: Walking on the beach and swimming.

Pinnacle Rock - Bartolome Island

Day 10 – MT CAMILA (B/L/D)

AM: Santa Cruz - Bachas Beach

Bachas beach has beautiful green and blue waters that contrast along the surf of the black

lava shores. In the air various shore birds fly searching for food. On the shore you can explore

the sand dunes and find a salt water lagoon with greater pink flamingos.

Activities: Walking on the beach and swimming.

Difficulty: Easy

Landing: Wet

Possible Wildlife: Sea lions, various shorebirds, mockingbirds, sea turtles, flamingos.

PM: Bartolome Island

This island is well known for its incredible remnants of volcano cones and distinct terrain

such as Pinnacle Rock. A hike will lead you up to the top of a lookout point to see all of

Sullivan Bay. You might be able to see lava lizards and various sea birds flying above.

Activities: Walk on the boardwalk, hike, snorkeling.

Difficulty: Easy

Landing: Dry and Wet are both possibilities

Possible Wildlife: Sea lions, various shorebirds, lava lizards, frigate birds.

Rabida Island

Day 11 – MT CAMILA (B/L/D)

AM: Rabida Island

This visitor site is quite different from others as it has a very distinct and red fine gravel

beach due to the iron content. Snorkeling can be done here with spectacular sights of tropical

fish. Visitors like to walk along the beach taking in the sights and also visiting the black

lagoon with pink flamingos.

Activities: Walking on the beach, swimming and snorkeling.

Difficulty: Easy

Landing: Wet

Possible Wildlife: Sea lions, various shorebirds, pelican, manta rays, sea turtles, pink

flamingos, lava lizards, Galapagos doves, blue-footed boobies.

PM: Santiago Island - Egas Port

This visitor site is also known as James Bay, it is home to Galapagos hawks, lava lizards and

the trails lead to a coastline with gorgeous tide pools full of fauna. Fur seals, different from

the common sea lions can also be seen here.

Activities: Walking on the beach, swimming and snorkeling.

Difficulty: Easy

Landing: Wet

Possible Wildlife: Sea lions, various shorebirds, pelican, stingrays, sea turtles, fur seals,

marine iguanas, lava lizards, Galapagos doves, blue-footed boobies.

Red-footed boobie commonly found on Genovesa Island

Day 12 – MT CAMILA (B/L/D)

AM: Genovesa - Darwin Bay

A white sand coral beach leads the way to a hiking trail through mangroves filled with many

different species of land birds and other famous species like blue-footed and red-footed

boobies and swallow tailed gulls. Towards the end of the hike are tidal pools where you can

find sea lions swimming playfully and finally a spectacular view off a cliff.

Activities: Hike and/or snorkeling

Difficulty: Easy/Moderate

Landing: Wet

Possible Wildlife: Sea lions, various shorebirds, red-footed boobies, blue-footed boobies,

marine iguanas, lava lizards.

PM: Genovesa - El Barranco

El Barranco is also known as Prince Philip’s Steps. It is an extraordinary site on the flatter

area of the island in Darwin’s Bay. Be prepared to make your way up a rocky crevasse, then

enjoy the easy trail to spectacular views. This is one of the few visitor sites where all three

boobie species can be seen, as well as the short-eared owl.

Day 13 – MT CAMILA (B/L/D)

AM: Mosquera Islet

Located between the islands of Baltra and North Seymour lays a reef made of coral. This was

the result of volcanic uprising making the islet only 160 meters across at its narrowest width.

It has one of the largest populations of sea lions and is home to many shorebirds. On

occasion, orcas can be seen hunting off the shoreline.

Possible Wildlife: Sea lions, various shorebirds and seabirds, frigatebirds, orcas.

PM: Santa Cruz: Highlands

The highlands are located in the northern part of Santa Cruz and can reach elevations up to

1500 meters. This area is rich with hills, ferns, volcanoes and wildlife. A great contrast to

the molten lava harden beaches and rocky areas of other islands already seen. It is home to

giant tortoises, mockingbirds, finches and many other species.

other shorebirds.

Day 14 – GALAPAGOS / GUAYAQUIL / QUITO (B/-/-)

AM: North Seymour

Explore the rocky coast of North Seymour passing colonies of blue-footed boobies and

magnificent frigatebirds. The island was formed by a series of submarine lava expelled from

the ocean floor, carrying with it layers of sediment uplifted by the tectonic activity. The island

is mostly characterized by the arid vegetation.

Activities: Hike, snorkel, panga ride

Difficulty: Moderate

Landing: Dry

Possible Wildlife: Marine iguanas, frigate birds, sea lions, blue-footed boobies, finches,

land iguanas.

Transfer to Airport

The only visit you will have on this day is to the Interpretation Center. Afterwards, you will

have time to gather your belongings and then the guide and cruise manager will thank you

for your time with Haugan Cruises. Then, you will be transferred to the airport and your

cruise will come to an end.

Interpretations and Definitions

Landing - this is how you will arrive to each visitor site after leaving the vessel.

Wet - These types of landings mean that you will have to step out of the panga by the shore

onto a beach or another type of wet surface. Guides will give instructions on how to

disembark safely and whether your footwear should be removed or not. Once ashore, guides

will provide special towels in order to dry off before putting on your footwear.

Dry - On dry landings guests will disembark the pangas onto a dry surface. This could be a

manmade dock or boat landing. On these types of landings, it is not necessary to remove

your footwear.

No Landing - If there is no landing, you will either do the excursion via panga ride or enter

the water for a snorkeling activity straight from the panga.

Panga - This is the small boat or zodiac used by Haugan’s crew in order to transport guests

to and from the boat to visitor sites and ports.

What to Bring - These are merely suggestions by Haugan Cruises experts on items that

can help you enhance your visit to create a more enjoyable experience.

Difficulty of Activities

Easy - Activities rated easy means no great efforts are required and the excursion will be

very easy going.

Moderate - These activities may require some effort on your behalf, depending on your

physical conditions but nothing extreme or intense.

Difficult - Activities categorized as difficult will include more intense hikes or uneven terrain.

Examples may be climbing over small/medium sized boulders, walking uneven or slippery

surfaces. Breaks may be needed, make sure to tell your guide if you need assistance. One

should be in good overall health and physical conditions. Nevertheless, guides will always

keep the pace of the slowest person and will be aware of the entire groups physical abilities

in order for everyone to enjoy the activity.

Possible Wildlife - We cannot guarantee a 100% chance of observing the wildlife listed in

these sections. It is based on guide knowledge and what has been seen before. The animals

in the Galapagos Islands are wild and come and go as they please. You may even see wildlife

that is not listed.

Activities - Please take into consideration that each visitor site is allowed specific activities

authorized by the Galapagos National Park Authorities. Your guide will explain the different

activities available at each site and may even give provide two different options.

Use of Jacuzzi - The use of Jacuzzi is subject to weather conditions, itinerary and the sea

conditions. Please talk to the Cruise Manager if you are interested in using the Jacuzzi during

your stay on any Haugan Cruises vessel.

3. Mashpi Lodge 3 days / 2 nights
