ABour THE DmECTOR . LEWIS HAUSERLew has directed and acted in numerous shows throughout the LosAngeles area. Last year he won Kentwood's Marcom MasqueAward for Best Director for "Musical Comedy Murders of 1940."He also won Best Actor for "Play It Again Sam" at Kentwood.His other Kentwood appearances were in "Bedroom Farce" and"Whose Life Is It Anyway?" Recently Lew directed "TheBoyfriend" and "Charly's Aunt" at Theatre Palisades. He wasDirector-in-Residence for The Queen Mary Dinner Playhousewhere he staged a highly successful revival of "Luv" starringHuntz Hall and Gabe Dell. Lew's most recent project wasDirecting "Legends" for The Kentwood Players.

ABour THE CO-PRODUCER· MARGIE BATESDuring her six years with Kentwood Players, Margie has servedin several capacities both on stage and off. Her most recentappearances on stage were in "Stepping Out" and "Whose Life IsIt Anyway?" She has also served as lights and sound technician,stage hand and stage manager in various Kentwood productions.Margie has been our hospitality chairperson and house manager,and she is currently the box office manager. This is her firststint as a producer and she is learning (the hard way) the answerto that age-old question, "what the heck does a producer do?"

ABour THE CO·PRODUCER· HARVEY ERLICHHarvey has been an active member of Kentwood for 15 years. Hehas served on the board as Vice President and membershipchairman and is currently the workshop chairman (for thesecond time). Harvey produced "Four on a Garden" and hasdirected "Barefoot in the Park," "Wait Until Dark" and mostrecently, "Whose Life Is It Anyway?" He has acted in"Steambath" and "Twelve Angry Men." He has also directednumerous workshops, including "Extremities" and "PrivateWars."

ABour THE CHOREOGRAPHER·VICTORIA MILLER

A nine year member of Kentwood Players, Vicki haschoreographed "Marne," "Stepping Out," "Anything Goes,""Sweet Charity" and "On A Clear Day." Other choreographiccredits are "The Boyfriend" and "Little Shop Of Horrors" atTheatre Palisades and "1776" at Torrance Community Theatre.She has also choreographed at Theatre 40, The Saint Genesius,The Globe and the Dramalogue award winning "Lady-Like" atthe Tiffany.

TOMMY JAMES· DickTommy has recently moved into the Hollywood area from LongBeach, but has played stages all across Southern California.Some of his favorite roles include Tommy in "Brigadoon,"Anthony in "Sweeney Todd" and Scarecrow in "The Wizard ofOz." This is Tommy's first show with The Kentwood Playersand his second time playing this role. He loves this part andloves to tap. His mother says he was born with tap shoes on - oohthat must've hurt.

CYNTHIA LEIGH· MonaCynthia often says she was "born" singing. She studied andperformed first in Palm Springs where she was seen in "Man ofLa Mancha" and many musical reviews. Upon her arrival inLos Angeles, she starred in Sal Ponti's "Laff Affair" andperformed in "Gypsy" and "The King and I." Her most recentcredits include Downey Civic Light Opera's productions of "TheChristmas Carol" and "My Fair Lady." Cynthia dedicates herperformance to her very good friend, the late David Madinger.

PHIL MASSI· Henneseyffhe CaptainA native New Yorker, Phil is a veteran of numerous summerdinner and community theater productions. He was the recipientof a Marcom Masque Award for his major supporting role ofDwight Babcock in last season's "Marne." He was similarlyhonored in 1990 as Best Actor in a leading role in Kentwood's"Social Security." Phil is presently serving The KentwoodPlayers as publicity chairman and is expecting grandchild #2an~ day. He dedicates this performance to long-time loyal fans,Phil and Joan Rubenstein.

VICTORIAMILLER· JoanVicki has appeared in many plays and musicals at Kentwoodincluding "Chicago," "Pippin," "Play It Again Sam" and mostrecently as Sally Cato in "Marne" for which she received aMarcom Masque Award. She has performed in many theatresaround town and was in the inaugural production of "Marne"with the Civic Light Opera of the South Bay. Dance creditsinclude "Folies Bergere," Disneyland, The Hollywood Bowl and"The Thalians Show" dancing with Debbie Reynolds.

SHELLEYHEYNE'. RubyShelley is proud to be debuting at our theatre in her first majorrole in a musical. Previously she has been a featured dancer in"Oklahoma" at Glendale Centre Theatre, "42nd Street" atDowney Civic Light Opera and "Around the World in 80 Days" atthe Starlight Dinner Theatre. She had the lead dancer/actressrole in The James Harmon Band music video, which aired onMTV and Goodnight LA. She choreographed and performed inthe .live production of "Jordan - a visual rock performance."

DEAN THOMAS·LuckyThis is Dean's first production with The Kentwood Players. Heis a graduate of Dramatic Arts from U.C. Irvine. He hasperformed in a wide variety of productions and thoroughly enjoysthe stage. He is delighted to be working with The KentwoodPlayers.
