December 6 - 7Whistler Sliding CenterCatch the world’s top luge athletes as they compete in Whistler on their road to the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi. Races include men’s and women’s singles, doubles and the highly anticipated team relay races. Upload to the venue via the Excalibur Gondola. Tickets are $10 (Children 6 and under free) and can be purchased at the Whistler Visitor Information Center.

CRYSTAL RIDGE EXPRESS & HARMONY 6 EXPRESS LAUNCH DAY

Saturday, December 7The official opening day for the new Crystal Ridge Express and Harmony Six Express with ceremonies to be held at the base of both lifts to celebrate.

Crystal Ridge Express Opening10:00 a.m. Lower Terminal of Crystal Ridge Express LiftThe Crystal Ridge Express lift will launch with a live band, waffles on a stick, representatives from Kit Kat, an ice sculpture and a rocking party atmosphere.

Harmony Six Express Opening11:30 a.m. Lower Terminal of Harmony Six Express LiftOver in the Harmony Zone the new lift will be launched with an official ribbon cutting ceremony and press conference.

STREET ENTERTAINMENT & OUTDOOR FILM SCREENING

Saturday, December 7Skier’s Plaza 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.Meet at the base of Whistler and Blackcomb mountains in the village to enjoy a free outdoor screening under the stars featuring a collection of the Whistler Film Festival’s short films based on true stories about Whistler along with some of the top shorts from the festival. Or you can participate in an outdoor street hockey game, get your very own balloon toque created or get your photos taken with the beautiful animated characters. Make sure to dress for the weather.

THE WHISTLER HOLIDAY EXPERIENCE

Stop in and warm up at the indoor family fun zone. Kids can enjoy a mini putt course, table games, bouncy castles, crafts and video games free. Parents can relax in the lounge area and enjoy a coffee or hot cocoa while the kids play.

Join your family on the ice and skate with jolly old St. Nick himself on the outdoor rink at Whistler Olympic Plaza. Santa will be handing out candy canes and will be available for photo opportunities. Skate rentals available for $5.00.
