SPRING is in the air and we have been busy planning and coordinating events for our members! ASHE has several great events coming up in the next few weeks! Make sure you mark your calendars. I know calendars start to fill quickly when the weather gets warmer and the sports practices begin!! Can’t wait to get my kids outside, in the fresh air!
Our last meeting was held on March 4th and we thank Bryan Kendro, Director - Office of Policy & Public Private Partnerships, PA Department of Transportation for presenting us with a P3 update. Thank you to all that attended the event.
Our next event is the April 4th ASHE/PennDOT Conference which will be here before you know it! If you haven’t registered for this event please complete the registration form (located in the Profile) and return with payment ASAP! Space is limited!!! We haven’t had less than 200 people attend this conference in the past 6 years! This year marks ASHE’s 10th Anniversary of the conference and we are so happy to be able to continue this event.
Our Spring Trash Clean-Up will be held on April 10th at 3:00 PM. We will meet at the Comfort Inn River Front, (along Front Street, Harrisburg). This is a great chance to proudly support ASHE and our Community in helping to keep our highways beautiful. A happy hour will follow the clean-up at Doc Side Willies. Please plan to attend this clean-up; we could use all the help we can get out there. The more people we get to help the sooner happy hour begins!
Please plan to attend this year’s Past Presidents Dinner on May 1st at Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course. Last year’s event was well attended, food was excellent and the gambling/horse racing was great entertainment. It was a great evening out for most members and their guests! The registration information can be found in the Profile.
Last, I wanted to let everyone know that our February Dinner meeting has been rescheduled for June 2nd at the Radisson. Mr. Dave Hoglund, PE from Rettew Associates will present on the Reconstruction of the Siegrist Covered Bridge. Look for additional information in the next Profile.
If anyone would like to contact me throughout the year, please feel free to call me (717.620.8488 ext. 106 or 717.877.6271) or email me ([email protected]).
See you at the PennDOT/ASHE Conference!
