INTERCLIMA+ELECHB, IDÉOBAIN, BATIMAT A VERY PROMISING 2017 EDITION

The international reference event, Le Mondial du Bâtiment is an unmissable show where the sector can share current and future challenges. Bringing together INTERCLIMA+ELECHB, IDÉOBAIN and BATIMAT, and presenting all the construction materials and solutions for today and tomorrow, it will take place in Paris Nord Villepinte from 6 to 10 November 2017. Less than 5 months from opening, Le Mondial du Bâtiment is already looking very promising in terms of discovering solutions and innovations and fostering exchanges and dialogue between construction professionals. In an increasingly favourable market context, the ambition of the 2017 edition of Le Mondial du Bâtiment is more than ever to help all sector stakeholders capture the recovery and understand new challenges in construction while sharing the solutions to meet them. With this in mind, the 2017 Mondial du Bâtiment has reinvented itself to meet changes in the construction industry and make the most of synergies between exhibitors and visitors. So INTERCLIMA+ELECHB, IDÉOBAIN and BATIMAT are designed around 6 specific and connected trade universes. For example, at BATIMAT, Hall 6 will be housing all the solutions devoted to the Structure and Envelope of the building. Workshop machines and Joinery/Closures are now together in Hall 5A. Similarly, in Hall 5B, the Tools sector can be found with Site Equipment and has additional outdoor areas suitable for demonstrations. The Interior and Exterior Fittings spaces can be found in Hall 4 at the heart of the show. In Hall 3, the bathroom universe offered by IDÉOBAIN is now directly connected to the Indoor Decoration sector (coatings & coverings for walls, floors and ceilings, etc.) in BATIMAT. This connection meets the needs of clients (architects and interior designers) to manage all spaces, including wet rooms. In Halls 1 and 2, INTERCLIMA+ELECHB, more concentrated, is directly linked to IDÉOBAIN and all the universes in BATIMAT via the gallery. Less than 5 months from the opening of Le Mondial du Bâtiment, these changes along with an exceptional range of services, information and events during the show, has appealed to actors across the sector:

At INTERCLIMA+ELECHB, celebrating 50 years, alongside the usual faithful exhibitors (for example, AIRWELL, ATLANTIC, ELM, FLAMCO, FRISQUET, GRDF and SCHNEIDER, WEISHAUP), leading companies are back (CARRIER, FRANCE AIR, LG Electronics, PANASONIC, SIEMENS, SWEGON, to name but a few).

A VERY PROMISING 2017 EDITION

The tradeshow for comfort and energy efficiency has registered 280 companies to date. In parallel, a new space “Photovoltaic self-sufficiency” will enable all actors in the sector to present their solutions, innovations and product ranges. Comprised of two zones, an exhibition area and a talks area, it has been designed in partnership with ENERPLAN and Gimélec.

Every day, “Air quality workshops”, organised by Uniclima in partnership with ALLIE AIR and other actors in the sector, will provide demonstrations with 20-minute information workshops on major Air Quality issues, such as measuring network sealing, measuring flow and/or pressure at outlets, measurement and diagnostic tools for companies and operators, etc.

On the Uniclima stand, a space devoted to the Climate Engineering database managed by ATITA, demonstrations will be provided to show how data can be used in BIM.

At IDÉOBAIN, all the leading brands in the sector present at the show in 2015 have re-registered. This show for global bathroom solutions has 93 exhibitors to date. We are delighted to announce the return of prestigious companies such as LUX ELEMENTS, NEWFORM, PELLET and THG. The show will also boast a Sanitary village and a Materials village, hosting companies selected to highlight their innovative technical and decorative solutions. A Demonstration Workshop, pre-equipped to demonstrate solutions, will enable exhibitors to present their innovations and new techniques. This puts training firmly at the heart of the exhibitor-visitor relationship, providing concrete answers to the needs of visitors (architects and/or installers) to rapidly understand how the new techniques and solutions presented can be used. This format will enable visitors to make the most of the visitor trails and encourage the sharing of technical knowledge.

BATIMAT has seen a 5% increase in exhibitors, with 1,200 exhibitors including the return of major brands in the Structure and Envelope sectors (AIRIUM, ISOBOX, SAINT-GOBAIN and its brands PLACO and ISOVER, VELUX, etc.), in the Joinery sectors (AGC, ALIPLAST, HENKEL, HOPPE, MALERBA, REYNAERS, 3M France, WAREMA), Equipment and Tools (DEWALT-STANLEY-FACOM, KS Tools, PERI, WURTH, etc.), Worksite equipment (DIECI, ENTREPOSE, KILOUTOU, WACKER NEUSON), digital and new technologies (BENTLEY SYSTEMS, EMAGINE, FISA, PARROT DRONES) and Commercial Vehicles (GRUAU, MERCEDES BENZ and TOYOTA, to name but a few).

INTERCLIMA+ELECHB, IDÉOBAIN, BATIMAT INNOVATION, THE DNA OF CONSTRUCTION UNCOVERED AT THE 2017 SHOW

The building sector has always demonstrated great capacity for innovation, offering ever more effective or practical solutions. In fact the Construction and Public Works (CPW) sector ranks third for the most patents awarded, after Transport and Electric Appliances (2015 Patents Atlas – French Ministry of Research). Such dynamism is the result of ongoing investment by the sector’s manufacturers: - 31% of CPW businesses have developed innovative solutions in the last two years (2016

IFOP-CSTB barometer). - 56% of CPW businesses have confirmed their intention to develop innovative solutions in

the next three years (2016 IFOP-CSTB barometer). The construction tech segment appears increasingly committed to developing solutions: investments quadrupled between 2010 and 2015, climbing from $51 million to $254 million (source: CB Insights). On the user side, innovation remains a key priority for most businesses: - 61% of small construction businesses agree that innovation is important to their

companies. And 72% of business leaders who have formed companies within the last five years say that innovation is essential.

- These leaders have been highly receptive to 74% of the innovations offered to them by manufacturers.

Testifying to the sector’s determination to invest in innovation and become more competitive, Le Mondial du Bâtiment will be making innovation the focus of its 2017 edition. Le Mondial du Bâtiment Innovation Awards Reflecting and highlighting industry trends Le Mondial du Bâtiment is more than ever THE innovation event for the sector, showcasing the latest solutions and technologies.

To reinforce the importance of innovation, Le Mondial du Bâtiment has partnered with ADEME for the Le Mondial du Bâtiment Awards. The awards highlight market trends, introduce the latest innovations and shine a spotlight on the winners at Le Mondial du Bâtiment Awards Ceremony, a special evening event in September.
