Who are we?
Founded in 2015, DECENT builds upon a track record of early blockchain innovation with its own platform,
DCore, empowering users to rapidly create and migrate business-ready, scalable and decentralized
applications.
DECENT is dedicated to building a strong ecosystem of projects to encourage the successful realization of
the benefits blockchain has to offer for organizations and customers across multiple industries.
Vision & Mission
The story of DECENT began when founder Matej Michalko recognized the unfair conditions content
creators dealt with to have their work published and made available to the general public.
By eliminating business intermediaries and creating a consensus among members and buyers, up to 70%
of distribution costs could be avoided while ensuring a higher degree of trust. Blockchain’s traceable and
decentralized architecture enabled Matej and his team to build a safe, transparent and fair solution for
media which could impact other industries, and the DCore platform was born.

Matej was recognized by Forbes Slovakia with the
‘30 most talented people under 30’ award for
making DECENT and DCore the success it is
today. He is passionate about blockchain
technology, and will never cease in his efforts to
educate the community about the benefits it can
provide.
Matej founded the world’s first Bitcoin marketing
agency in the world, the first Cryptocurrency e-
Gaming consulting firm, and advised the Isle of
Man in establishing a center of excellence for
blockchain development.
Matej Michalko, CEO and Founder of DECENT, is a blockchain industry pioneer with more than eight years
of decentralized development and cryptocurrency leadership. He co-founded ALAX, and organized China's
first international Bitcoin Conference. As a blockchain advocate, he hosted, spoke and led many
conferences, such as BitcoinExpo 2013, BTC2B, BitcoinExpo 2014, BitcoinExpo 2015 and more.

The Blockchain Pioneers Hackathon is a series of competitive developer events held by DECENT alongside
ecosystem partners to encourage the realization of innovative blockchain-powered ideas. Winners of each
hackathon receive rewards and the opportunity to collaborate with DECENT on their blockchain project for
