    Judiciary of Guam Seeking Volunteers for Deputy Marshal Reserve Program

    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE October 6, 2015 The Judiciary of Guam is

    seeking individuals interested in participating in its Volunteer Deputy Marshal Reserve

    Program. Through active recruitment, the Judiciary hopes to increase the number of

    potential volunteers for the Program.

    Volunteers in the Marshal Reserve Program must meet all the qualification

    requirements for the position of a Deputy Marshal I, including but not limited to, having

    a valid firearms identification card, having no criminal convictions other than minor

    traffic violations, and certification as a Category One peace officer from the Peace

    Officer Standards and Training Commission.

    Volunteer Marshals shall serve a vital role at the Judiciary by supplementing and

    supporting personnel in the Marshals Services Division. Individuals selected for the

    Volunteer Marshal Reserve Program who work 42 duty hours in a calendar month shall

    receive a monetary stipend of $450. Aside from gaining valuable experience in law

    enforcement, volunteers have the opportunity to provide needed services to the Judiciary

    and to give back to their community.

    Applications for the Volunteer Deputy Marshal Reserve position are due no later

    than October 21, 2015 to the Human Resources Office, Judiciary of Guam, and may be

    obtained online at http://www.guamcourts.org/ or at the Human Resources Office. For
