LouvreHotelsGroup,throughitsUniversityandTraininghub,launchesanewtrainingprogramforitsemployees called KeyUniversity Skills, or C2U for short. This initiative boosts LouvreHotelsGroup’scommitmenttoenhanceemployabilityforitspersonnel,bygivingpeoplewithlittleornoqualificationsachancetobenefitfrombasicprofessionaltraining.Trouble reading, writing, or understanding a simple message in everyday life can sometimes be anobstacletomaintainingoradvancinginajob,careermobility,accessingaqualificationorsimplyenrollinginaprofessionaltrainingprogram.Awareofitssocialresponsibility,LouvreHotelsGrouphasdeveloped,in cooperation with the Interprofessional Committee for Employment and Training (Copanef), a skilldevelopment initiative for employees with little or no qualifications. By launching the C2U trainingprogram, the Group promotes employability for its personnel and internal career advancement, whilefightingilliteracy.Onenewtrainingprogram,twodiplomas
Availableuponrequestbyemployeesaswellasmanagerswhowanttoimprove their teams’ knowledge base, the C2Uprogramoffers trainingthat can lead to one of two diplomas, depending on the employee’sprofileandskills.
• Professional French: Certificate designed for people whoexperiencedifficulties readingandwriting,whetherornot theyhavearrivedrecentlyinFrance.
• The “CléA”: Certificate that validates 7 skill areas:communication in French,math, computer skills, understandingrules for working as a team, the ability to work autonomouslyand meet individual objectives, the ability to learn throughouttheir lifetime, mastering body, hand and facial gestures, andrespectingbasichygiene,safetyandenvironmentalregulations.
For 6months, employees can benefit fromweekly training sessions. At the end of the semester, theirprogress is reviewed to determine what, if any, further training is needed. Louvre Hotels Group iscommitted tooffering true support toemployees, fromthe time they fillout theapplicationuntil theyreceive their diploma. The initiative has already been rolled out in every region throughout France.
