Clear AndMetallized Clear Film

Clear pressure sensitive labels are ideal for achieving the “no-look label” - an illusion which suggests the graphics are printed directly on the container. Whether your application requires a frosty clear, crystal clear, or metallized appearance, Technicote’s clear film selection provides the canvas for brilliant graphics to enhance your next prime label application.

2 mil Clear TC Polypropylene - a glossy, optically clear biaxially oriented film with exceptional clarity, excellent die-cut performance and great stiffness. This semi-conformable film is top-coated for outstanding print performance. Varieties include “Ultra Clear” and “Crystal Clear” BOPP. 2 mil Value Clear Polypropylene - a high performance, economically priced, optically clear biaxially oriented polypropylene film. Corona treated for excellent label printing performance by a wide variety of print methods. Markets/Industries: Health & Beauty, Food/Beverage, Household Products

2 mil Metallized Clear Polypropylene- this vibrant, glossy film offers a high sheen metallized appearance, a coated print surface for outstanding ink adhesion, and high-speed press performance. Provides good stiffness for auto and hand applied label dispensing, and offers resistance against chemicals, water and oil. Markets/Industries: Health & Beauty, Food/Beverage, Household Products

3 mil Frosty Clear Squeezable Polyolefin - a frosty clear, polyolefin film corona treated for excellent printability. This product is recommended for squeeze and semi-squeeze containers and provides exceptional die cutting and dispensing. Markets/Industries: Cosmetics, Health and Beauty, Household Products

2 mil Clear Polystyrene - an optically clear, versatile film with excellent strength and stiffness for non-conformable label applications. Printable by flexographic, rotogravure or offset processes. Markets/Industries: Coupon and Mail Tab

2 mil EarthFirst® PLA - an environmentally friendly clear film made from annually renewable plant resources. EarthFirst® PLA is corona treated one side for print receptivity and features high gloss, optimum clarity and excellent transparency. EarthFirst® PLA , a trademark of Plastic Suppliers, is made with Ingeo™, a polymer made from a wide variety of plants, not just corn. Ingeo™ is a trademark of NatureWorks, LLC.

White Polypropylene Thermal Transfer- A 3 mil, matte white polypropylene film coated two sides for outstanding thermal tranfer printing with a variety of ribbons Offers superb smoothness, excellent print performance and added strength for VIP.

White Polyproylene Direct Thermal - A topcoated direct thermal polypropylene with initial activation temperature of 180 F and an effective activation temperature of 205 F. This facestock has excellent light stability to resist fading from UV light.

A film face stock is often used for label applications where variable information and barcode printing required on a substrate that offers more durability than paper.

2.3 mil White TC Polypropylene - a gloss white BOPP with excellent opacity, outstanding whiteness and top coated for printability using standard print methods and thermal transfer (with resin ribbon only). This film has high machine direction stiffness and tensile strength that produces excellent matrix stripping and superior high speed label dispensing. 2.3 mil Value White Polypropylene - a gloss white biaxially oriented polypropylene with outstanding opacity, excellent whiteness and one side treated with high surface energy for adhesion of water based coatings, adhesives or inks. Excellent stiffness for label dispensing. Markets/Industries: Health & Beauty, Food/Beverage, Household Products

2.6 mil Label Lyte® Polypropylene - a gloss white corona treated BOPP with moisture resistance, durability, excellent stiffness, dimensional stability and aesthetics. Designed for rigid and semi-rigid pressure sensitive applications that require excellent graphic appeal. The treated, high energy print surface has good compatibility with a variety of ink systems. Also compatible with hot stamping. Good stiffness for automatic and hand-applied label dispensing. Markets/Industries: Durable Goods, Health & Beauty. 2.6 mil Pearl White Polypropylene - high performance, one side treated, cavitated 2.6 mil white bopp film designed for outstanding label printing performance by a wide variety of printing process methods. This facestock is not recommended for thermal transfer printing or removable label applications. Markets/Industries: Health & Beauty, Household Products

3 mil White Squeezable Polyolefin - a matte white, polyolefin film corona treated for excellent printability. Product is recommended for squeeze and semi-squeeze containers. Markets/Industries: Health and Beauty, Household Products, Food/Beverage

2.5 mil White Polystyrene - a corona treated, matte white, versatile film with excellent strength and stiffness for non-conformable label applications. Printable by flexographic, rotogravure or offset processes. Markets/Industries: Coupon, Prime Label

4 mil Flexible Vinyl - a flexible white vinyl with polymeric plasticizers, formulated to provide optimum performance with pressure sensitive adhesives. The top-coating provides outstanding adhesion to various printing inks. Product available in both matte white and yellow varieties, either top-coated or non top-coated.

Pressure sensitive labels printed on white film may be used in an assortment of packaging formats to successfully enhance brand recognition through bold designs and colors that “pop”. Matte Clear Acetate - a matte clear, tamper-evident, cellulose diacetate film. Good film stiffness for matrix stripping and auto-apply processes. Available in 1.5 mil and 2.0 mil caliper thickness.

2 mil White Tamper Evident Acetate - a matte white, tamper-evident, cellulose diacetate film. Designed to self-destruct or shred if delamination from product is attempted.

4.1 mil Tamper Evident Polyart® - a 4.1 mil cavitated, matte white, top coated HDPE with a low internal bond strength that allows the film to delaminate and shred upon removal from a surface. Polyart® is a registered trademark of Arjobex.

2 mil Silver “VOID” Polyester - A tamper-evident polyester film with a selective release coating that allows for immediate identification of tampering if any attempt is made to remove the label. When the label is removed, the coating splits from the film leaving the imprinted “VOID” pattern behind.

Digital Films

SpecialtyAndSynthetic Films

At Technicote, specialty is our specialty. From durable films like laser printable polyester to instant redeemable coupon film, Technicote is your one-stop shop for unique, specialty label products. Nearly all of Technicote’s synthetic or specialty film offering are available at low minimum order quantities at a competitive price. Stock products are ready to ship in two days or less!

Technicote IRC Film Base - a dual-layer construction consisting of two, 75 gauge films bonded together with a specialty dry release adhesive for use in Instant Redeemable Coupon (IRC) applications. Technicote IRC is recognized in the industry by its signature geometric pattern. This one-of-a-kind design provides a smooth and consistent release with a built-in fingerlift edge for easy removal. Technicote IRC film base is signature compatible, which makes it ideal for mail-in rebate or other end use requirements. The top film layer is suitable for flexographic printing.

Technicote Membership Card Film Base- a dual-layer construction consisting of two, 75 gauge films bonded together with a specialty dry release adhesive for use in Membership Card applications. The dry adhesive and silicone have been formulated to provide a tighter release to support heavier card stocks such as 8pt tag. Technicote’s Membership Card film is available with multiple pattern layouts to accommodate a variety of die configurations.

2 mil Holographic Polyester - a vibrant metallized polyester film that has been optically embossed to create a holographic image or pattern. Top coated for compatibility with solvent base, water base and UV curable inks, as well as silk screen, flexographic and offset/letterpress printing. Available in a variety of patterns.

2 mil Silver TC Polyester - a 2 mil bright silver polyester film that has been top-coated to provide excellent printability for prime label applications. Also available as a 1 mil film with brushed silver finish.

2 mil Clear TC Polyester - a 2 mil clear, gloss polyester film with high strength and excellent clarity. The versatile top-coating is compatible with solvent base, water base, and UV curable inks, as well as silk screen, flexographic and offset/letterpress printing. Laser printable (2 mil CP Polyester) version also available with a matte clear finish.

2 mil White TC Polyester - a durable, gloss white polyester film with excellent dimensional stability. Outstanding print results with solvent base, water base, and UV curable inks, as well as silk screen, flexographic and offset/letterpress printing. Laser printable (CP Polyester) version also available in a 2 mil thickness.

Polyart® - A high performance polyethylene base synthetic paper with a unique computer printable top coating allowing Polyart to be printed with flexo, litho, gravure, letterpress and screen

methods. It can also be used with thermal transfer, ion dep, dot matrix and certain ink jets. Product is available in 3.0 mil and 3.6 mil versions. Polyart® is a registered trademark of Arjobex.

3.7 mil Smudge Kimdura® - A multi-layered biaxially oriented polypropylene which combines extraordinary edge tear resistance with a smooth, uniform surface that provides brilliant

imagery, superior print quality and smudge resistance. Kimdura® is a registered trademark of Neenah Paper.

Tyvek® 1073-D- An 8.0 mil durable sheet that is stronger than paper, less expensive and more versatile than fabrics. It is made from high density polyethylene fibers and is considered a spunbonded olefin offering a balance of physical characteristics likened to a paper, film and cloth. Tyvek® is a registered trademark of Dupont.

2 mil White Polyprint - An in-line top coated polyester with a very smooth white finish. It has excellent tear strength, heat resistance, UV resistance and dimensional stability, while the CP top coating allows laser, thermal transfer, silk screen, flexo & letterpress ink receptivity.

Custom Coat Services - in the event Technicote does not carry the film product you require for your next production run, our Custom Coat service is an option to consider. Send in your non-pressure sensitive film to one of our designated manufacturing plants, and we will adhesive coat your product with your preferred adhesive and release liner.

2 mil Digital Clear Polypropylene - A clear, digital top coated BOPP film designed for high quallty printing on HP Indigo presses. Varieties include “Digital Clear” and “V-Plus Clear DTC”.

2.3 mil Digital White Polypropylene DTC - A white, digital top coated BOPP film designed for high quallty printing on HP Indigo presses.

2.4 mil Digilyte™ White Polypropylene DTC - A white, 2.4 mil BOPP film with digital top coating specifically designed for use with HP Electroink liquid EP. Excellent opacity & adhesion. Good stiffness for automatic label dispensing. Excellent adhesive anchorage. Digilyte™ is a trademark of ExxonMobil.

4.1 mil C1S Digital Polyart® - A white, 4.1 mil biaxially oriented synthetic paper, digitally coated on 1 side. HP Indigo Certified. Good opacity, excellent stiffness for conversion & automatic label dispensing. Die-cuts extremely well. High tear strength.
