Zagato’s Tribute to IsoRivolta is dedicated to the glorious model Grifo A3 Corsa and intends to reawaken this track car that was successful in the races in the 60’s, matching perfectly with the centenary Zagato DNA.

the Idea

the HistoryIn the early 1950s Iso had already an established strong reputation in lightweight motorcycles and motorscooters. Then founder Renzo Rivolta decided to enter into the GT cars world.

After incredible success at Italy’s famed 1000-mile Mille Miglia race with Isetta winning the trophy from 1953 to 1955, IsoRivolta returned to competition in the 1960s to promote its GT cars. The most famous racer was the Grifo A3 Corsa. Its coachwork was much more radical than its street counterparts, with an engine set so far back in the bay that it was a true front mid-engine design.

This model participated in races all over the world including Sebring, Reims, Montlhery, Monza, Spa and the Austrian Grand Prix, among others and won in its class at Le Mans in 1964 and 1965. In 1965 the street legal version of A3/C was designed and made by IsoRivolta having Johnny Hallyday as a very special Client.
