Well, we have finally come to the end of oneof the most challenging academic years onrecord. Thank you all for your service andcare over this year in extremely difficult
circumstances.
I wish you all a restful and recuperativesummer holiday! I am looking forward tomeeting many of you for Prevent trainingnext year. We have had such high demandfor training that I am now booked out forAutumn 1. However, I do have some spacefor staff meeting sessions in Autumn 2, so
get in touch to book!

WHOLE STAFFPREVENT TRAINING
SUPPORT STAFF PREVENT TRAINING
Whilst the Prevent duty states that support staff should also receiveyearly Prevent training, we recognise that it is very difficult for our
schools to organise cover for this.
I will be running two half-termly virtual sessions for support staffwhose schools have already booked training with me.
The dates for Autumn sessions are: Thursday 21st Oct, 10-11 and 2-3Tuesday 30th Nov, 10-11 and 2-3
Please email me for a booking form. I will be running these sessions
in Spring and Summer terms too.
GOVERNOR PREVENT TRAINING
Working in partnership with Ela Cleary, I will be deliveringgovernor Prevent training once a half-term to support school
governors with meeting their Prevent duty.
Details will be circulated by Ela in due course, but the date forthe Autumn training is Thursday 14th October, 6-7.

Counter Terror Policing has launched an eight week digitalpartnership with Netmums to promote ACT Early (actearly.uk)
among mothers. This is a national campaign to encourage family andfriends to share concerns about a loved one being radicalised so that
they can receive support and help.
My colleague Lydia and I are planning to re-run our popular onlineresilience webinars in the Autumn term. Please email me if you are
interested in attending this free CPD and we will let you knowwhen dates are released.
The webinars are:
Online Gaming, Social Media Platforms and Apps - a guide to theradicalisation risks associated with different platforms.
Conspiracy Theories - a guide to conspiracy theories and how tohelp those caught up in them.
Humour & Irony in the Extreme Right Wing - explores the world ofmemes and humour within the extreme right wing online. Extremist Narratives - a guide to common narratives of the
extreme right wing, Islamist extremism and the incel movement.
Each webinar lasts for 1 hour and will take place after school viaMicrosoft Teams.
