T/F: 09643184; [email protected]; www.ballin glenartsfoundation.org; Twitter : @BallinglenArtsF; www.facebook.com/BallinglenArtsFoundation. Mon-Fri: 10am-5pm and by appointment at weekends. Until Apr 25 pandemonium diary Bob Morouney. 50 copperplate etchings informed by the artist’s studies in phenomenology and eco-philosophy. His visual metaphors of buildings juxtapose disparate elements and narrative moments, offering various interpre tations and new ways of seeing the familiar and "the way the world is". According to the artist, he began life as a foundling with the nuns of the infamous Red Chrysanthemum Monastery in western Mongolia. Sold to yak-herding nomads at a tender age, he was “rescued” by Irish mercenaries-turned-tomb robbers. After a shipwreck, he made his way from Sable Island to New Brunswick where he currently operates Hidden House Press while he plans his revenge. The Ballinglen Arts Foundation was founded in 1992 to bring professional, established artists and emerging artists of recognised ability, from outside Mayo and from abroad, to live and work in North Mayo so as to benefit both the artists and the community. Its programmes, a series of interrelated projects in the visual arts, provide a direct socio-economic and educational benefit to the community whilst contrib-uting substantively to the development of each art-ist’s work. The work of the Foundation (Irish Charity 11019) is supported by the Arts Council, the Ireland Funds, Mayo County Council and private contribu-tors. For further information, please contact Úna Forde or Chrissie Tighe, The Ballinglen Arts Foundation, Main Street, Ballycastle, Co Mayo.
