Writing Task - Make Notes to Prepare to talk at our Teams Meeting 30 mins Remember notes do not have to be in sentences. Write in bullet points with keywords. The keyword should help you remember

what you want to talk about. Think about a film or a television programme that you have watched this week.

Make some bullet point notes about the programme/film and your thoughts and opinions. Use the bullet point questions below to

help you.

• The platform or station that you viewed the film/programme on eg BBC/ Netflix/ Amazon Prime…

Numeracy Daily Ten Level 2 Choose multiplication. Pick any tables you feel you want to practise. Write your answers on your whiteboard. RME/Science/Technology- L.I to identify different arthropods by their shape.

Please follow the following link below and look at Activity 1 and 2 – Arthropods and Arachnids. https://www.dundeesciencecentre.org.uk/creepy-crawlies-topic (this is the Dundee Science Centre website – Home learning section) I thought it would be fun to learn about some interesting creatures this week. The spiders are very big but really fascinating!! Please watch the clips and try the worksheets if you can. You do not need to print them off. Next time you are out see if you can find any arthropods in your garden/local park (remember too look under things like rocks or plant pots) The STEM challenge this week is – Lego Maze Design a Lego maze for a marble (or a small rolled up bit of foil). You could design some obstacles in the maze for the marble to go through. Be as creative as you like. Ask someone else in your household to try it out. Here is an example.

‘Colours of The World’

Artists work with colours, musicians work with sound. Sometimes when you listen to a piece of music, the ‘colour ’or sound of

an instrument….. the word we use in music is ‘timbre’, can stimulate a mood, just as it can when we look at a picture.

1. Listen to a new song called ‘Colours of The World.’

2. Now follow the words as you listen to the song once again. (words, see below.)

3. Listen again, as there are quite a lot of words to fit in. See if you can join in with the chorus.

4. Practise singing along with the song. Do you have a favourite colour / verse in this song?

5. Verse 4 talks about the colour blue. Imagine how many different shades of blue there are….. can you think of

objects/ things/ places…. That are dark blue, light blue or turquoise?

6. Listen to this piece of music written by the French composer; Camille Saint- Saens. The section of music is called

7. As you listen, can you hear the music slowing down in places? (rallentando (rall ) for short or another musical

word is ritardando , or, (rit ) for short).

8. Can you try to listen for the music gping down, descending, this paints a picture of the fish swimming down deeper

into the water. Listen out for the beautiful sound of the celeste, it looks rather like an upright piano, but sounds

rather like a glockenspiel (metal bars.)

9. As you listen, you could try to draw what you think / imagine you could see in the water, or different colours of

blue…… eg. you may choose light blue for near the surface of the water, perhaps dark blue as the fish swim

deeper…. Or you could draw / paint imaginary creatures or fish that you could illustrate this piece of music.

The STEM challenge this week – Intriguing Ice Watch the clip in link below. There are some very interesting results from freezing different liquids. If you would like to try freezing some different liquids please make sure you ask for permission to use the freezer. Using a plastic container, fill it with your chosen liquid and make sure (if it does not have a lid) it is wedged into the freezer so it will not spill. Leave it overnight and look at the results.
