Gibber’s Aim Higher Program

Recently Year 7 was involved in the Aim Higher program, which is a high energy, interactive, magazine style performance that uses humour, music, multi-media and popular culture to engage students in the different paths they can take into tertiary education. It helps to break down some of the barriers associated with post-school destinations and by raising awareness of the specific routes into university and the different ways students can access these. It was a great day and the students really enjoyed themselves.

Kids for the Planet Program

On Thursday 15th June, I had the pleasure of visiting Lakemba Public School to see our very own Captain Planet, (AKA Mr Chahrouk) working with students from Belmore South PS, Hampden Park PS and Lakemba PS. Our school team was presenting the hard work they had completed as part of the 'Kids for the Planet' program. Students had prepared speeches, drama performances, art displays and in addition presented impromptu speeches. I would like to thank Ms Price for inviting our students to take part and Belmore Boys High School looks forward

to hosting next year’s activities. Mr Borg
