Principal’s Message
Iftaar Dinner
Our school is committed to being at the centre of a connected and well informed community where all members of our Belmore family are provided with an environment that is welcoming, supportive, safe and happy. Last week, our school joined forces with Human Appeal International - Australia, to celebrate our school diversity through an Iftaar dinner. With over 400 people in attendance, including representatives from the Department of Education, local businesses and industries, universities and service providers, it was our biggest Iftaar since its inception at our school. Our local MP, Sophie Cotsis, and the Member for Lakemba, Jihad Dib where amongst speakers whose speeches revolved around the importance of understanding cultural and religious backgrounds, to the growth of our community and society in general. It was energising to see staff, students, parents and community members celebrate the spirit of Belmore, a spirit of love and care towards all. At Belmore, we deeply understand that in diversity there is strength. We don't tolerate difference, we celebrate it. On behalf of our school community, I would really like to thank Human Appeal International - Australia for their ongoing support of our school. Many thanks to Cocoa Create and El Sayed Sweets from Liverpool for their delicious sweets.

Deputy Principals’ Message
Gibber’s Aim Higher Program
Recently Year 7 was involved in the Aim Higher program, which is a high energy, interactive, magazine style performance that uses humour, music, multi-media and popular culture to engage students in the different paths they can take into tertiary education. It helps to break down some of the barriers associated with post-school destinations and by raising awareness of the specific routes into university and the different ways students can access these. It was a great day and the students really enjoyed themselves.

Kids for the Planet Program
On Thursday 15th June, I had the pleasure of visiting Lakemba Public School to see our very own Captain Planet, (AKA Mr Chahrouk) working with students from Belmore South PS, Hampden Park PS and Lakemba PS. Our school team was presenting the hard work they had completed as part of the 'Kids for the Planet' program. Students had prepared speeches, drama performances, art displays and in addition presented impromptu speeches. I would like to thank Ms Price for inviting our students to take part and Belmore Boys High School looks forward
to hosting next year’s activities. Mr Borg
