The survey asks parents and carers questions about different factors that are known to impact on student wellbeing and engagement. Running this survey will help our school understand parents’ and carers’ perspectives on their child’s experience at school. These include: communication between parents/carers and staff, activities and practices at home and parent/carer views on the school's support of learning and behaviour. This valuable feedback will help our school make practical improvements. The survey is conducted entirely online on smartphones, ipads, tablets, laptops or computers. The survey will typically take 15 minutes or less to complete and is completely confidential. The parent survey will be conducted between 29th August and 28th September. Although participating in the survey is entirely voluntary, your responses are very much appreciated. Once again, all parents who complete a survey will be entered into the lucky draw. Evacuation Drill

Mullaway staff conducted a mandatory evacuation drill onWednesday, 22nd August. Requirements of the Department ofEducation are to conduct drills in evacuation and lock downstwice a year. These drills are extremely beneficial to practiceprocedures in the event of a real event. It helps to preparestudents, staff, volunteers and visitors in our procedures. Inthe event of a real emergency parents and community willbe notified through our Schoolzine App and Facebook page. Please follow instructions given in a calm and safe manner.

Successful Use of our Schoolzine App

Administration staff successfully used the Schoolzine App tonotify parents and carers that the Mullaway Bus had brokendown on Tuesday afternoon last week. It was a quick andefficient way to let parents and carers know that the childrenwere safe and at school supervised by teachers. Once the buswas fixed we were again able to notify parents and carers thatthe children were on their way home.

DO YOU HAVE THE SCHOOLZINE APP ON YOUR PHONE ORDEVICE??????? If not, isn’t it time?

School HatsCould you please make sure your child’s name is on his or hat.

The best and most economical way is to have the nameembroidered on the back of the hat, preferably first Name andInitial of last name. This would cost approximately $6.00 perhat, considerably less than purchasing a new hat.

Alternatively, we can print labels on iron-on tape for you to ironon the back and inside of the hat. Please send $1 into the officein a zip lock bag and we print TWO labels for your child to takehome for you to iron on.

School UniformsIf anyone has any second hand uniforms they no longer requireplease consider donating them to our uniform pool.

We are in desperate need to add to our stocks.
