CAUTION Although the toner used in this printer is non-toxic, its super-fine texture and susceptibility to heat can cause problems if spilled. NEVER reship or move the printer with the drum cartridge, developer unit, or waste toner bottle in the printer. ALWAYS remove these customer replaceable items. ALSO, NEVER ship an open, used, or partially used drum cartridge, developer unit, or waste toner bottle.

The manufacturer is not liable for damage to the printer or other items when the printer is shipped or moved with the drum cartridge, developer unit, and/or waste toner bottle in place. Also, various governmental regulations may prohibit shipping of these items.

Features 1. Automatic paper loading with no waste paper

The printer has a simple to operate paper feeder. When the paper is loaded into the tractor, the automatic top of edge detection mechanism will position the paper automatically. The printer is able to print from the first page.

2. Split paper form feed end of job When the system is activated, the paper will forward to the end of the job for separation. The printer will retract to loading position automatically when the next print job is submitted.

3. Large capacity power stacker Maximum stacking capacity 3, 000 pages Page length 7~12"

4. Small size The printer size is minimized to permit effective office space utilization.

5. Non-impact page printer The PC45 is a non-impact page printer, which employs the same electro photographic system as regular copiers. It meets the needs of users who wish to produce high speed, high-quality prints quietly.

6. High performance-to-cost ratio The printing speed attained when paper is fed by 25.4 mm per 6 lines (1/6 inch per line) is 3000 lines per minute. The low hardware and consumable costs offer higher cost efficiency than existing competing brands.

7. LED exposure for enhanced printing resolution Exposure LEDs are arranged widthwise at a density equivalent to the printing resolution of 300 dots per 25.4 mm (300dpi) and exposure is executed one line at a time. The PC45 therefore achieves a higher printing accuracy lineation.

8. Flash fusing works on various paper types A xenon (Xe) lamp based non-contact flash toner fusing method is employed, enabling printing on various types of special media such as mailing, other adhesive labels and no-carbon-requiring paper. Furthermore, the use of a horizontal paper transport system permits printing onto thicker paperweights, of up to 204g/•.

Turn off the power and the circuit breaker before installing or removing printer cable.

Turn off the circuit breaker located at the back of the printer if it will be unused for long time.

Do not use the printer on carpet. It may happen that the printer cannot operate normally by cotton fiber and static electricity.

Do not operate the printer near heating source, dusty location, and direct sunlight.

Do not place the printer on any unstable surface. Do not put the printer near combustibles. Install the printer in a well air-conditioned room. Do not spill liquid in the printer. Do not touch the OPC drum surface as it is easily damaged. When you drop something into the printer, turn off the power and

the circuit breaker. Then remove the object or call a service engineer. Be sure to close all covers during printing. When performing engineering checks must use extreme caution not to let

your clothing hair or hand be caught in the rotary mechanisms. Do not obstruct the ventilation slot at the front and rear of the

printer. Excessive temperature rise in the printer may cause abnormal printer operation.

Do not touch the high voltage power supply, DC power supply, flash Power supply, Xenon lamp, the cover glass of the fusing unit.

Do not leave the paper loaded for a long time, when printing job of the day ends, remove paper from the printer.

If the fusing unit needs to be removed after printer operation, do not touch its metal portions until the fusing unit cools sufficiently.

Do not bring metal substances near the developing roller assembly or place the developing unit on the floor.

Be sure that the AC input voltage matches the applied AC voltage Otherwise the printer may cause equipment malfunction or personal injury.
