Private colleges, universities and theological seminaries are

included in this section. Private schools are privately owned and

operated and, in addition to tuition and fees charged to students,

receive a major portion of their funding from private donations.

All of the private colleges and universities offer bachelor’s degrees,

while some offer certificate, associate’s, master’s and/or doctoral

degree programs.

Theological seminaries are private graduate schools that offer

specialized programs to prepare students for the ministry. The

programs are two to five years long and lead to master’s or doctoral

degrees.

Berea

College
