PERMISSION TO USE MULTIPLE UNIFORM DESIGNS You may use multiple uniform designs, but you must submit each design for review and receive approval before using it. A new uniform design must be submitted for any non-identical set of verbiage, font, image, badge, and/or patch. Once a design has been approved, it can be used on any type of clothing (i.e. shirts, coats, vests, etc.). UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS PURSUANT TO DRMC 42-135(b)(3)-(5) The outer uniform shall prominently display the following: A badge or patch containing the words "security", "private security", "security guard", or "guard"; A badge or patch containing the names of both the guard and of the private security employer. UNIFORM PROHIBITIONS It shall be unlawful for any person, while performing or providing security services, to wear a uniform or badge similar to that worn by any law enforcement agency, including the police department, sheriff's department, or officers of the state patrol. It shall be unlawful for any person to wear or display any badge, insignia, shield, patch, or pattern that indicates or implies that the person is a law enforcement officer. It shall be unlawful for any person, while performing security services, to wear a uniform or badge that contains the words "police" or "officer." After acceptance of this uniform design, any subsequent changes to the uniform design must be submitted for approval before being used. UNIFORM DESIGN - BADGE/PATCH SECTION III - UNIFORM PHOTOS / RENDERINGS Please upload clear, full-color photographs or renderings showing any design that will be used on your security guard uniforms. Your submission should clearly demonstrate what the front, back, and sleeves of your uniforms will look like. Please include a close-up of any badge or patch that you intend to use.
