THIRD-PARTY REFERRAL PROGRAMFor decades brokers have introduced buyers and sellers from their marketplace to a broker in another location where the client desires to pursue a real estate transaction. Brokers elect to make these introductions so that their clients can take advantage of the consulting broker’s geographical expertise regarding the new area. Referring brokers receive 20% of the consulting broker’s commission when a transaction is completed.
RPLG has added a new twist to the referral process, especially as it relates to sellers. RPLG has fostered numerous relationships with referral sources selected for their access to wealthy individuals. RPLG defines these relationships as “third-party lead generators.” These third-party generators are select companies from an array of targeted industries, such as sports agents, private aviation and yacht brokerages and entertainment agencies, who maintain advisory relationships with high-net-worth clientele. When third-party listings are generated, they are passed on exclusively to the RPLG member representing the area where the listing is located.

PAY WHEN SOLDAnother option available to members is to place selected listings into the RPLG Pay-When-Sold program. These Pay-When-Sold listings are marketed for the duration of the listing at no up-front cost to the member. As with the third-party referrals, RPLG receives a negotiated fee upon sale of the property.
REFERRAL / PAY-WHEN-SOLD PORTFOLIOOver 100 listings, with an amassed value of nearly $500 million dollars, have been fostered into the RPLG third-party-referral and Pay-When-Sold programs.

As part of its seller referral service, RPLG publishes pages showcasing the referred seller’s property in all RPLG print and digital magazines and features the listing on its multiple websites. RPLG markets the seller’s property throughout the entire duration of the list period while the member broker shepherds the property to a successful sale. In exchange for its referral and marketing support, RPLG receives a negotiated fee from the member broker upon sale of the referred property.
