The Probiotics Market A Key Segment for Future Growth With the global probiotic industry expected to reach a value of €53 billion by 2023, probiotic awareness is at an all-time high. The rapid increase in the global consumption and the development of new and innovative probiotic-based products testify to how far the sector has come. However, the industry is still young. The Probiotics Resource Center, organized in association with the International Probiotics Association and sponsored by Nutrasource Pharmaceutical and Nutraceutical Services, offers Vitafoods Europe attendees a high-profile location to learn about key issues in the probiotics market. In this area of the exhibition, visitors can access a wide range of content, including theater presentations & product showcases, and have the opportunity to sample
a selection of ingredients & products from category leaders. For the first time at Vitafoods Europe in Geneva, the IPA will be showcasing infographics within the Probiotics Resource Center: Understanding the E.U. Adult Probiotic User. The presented data is a glimpse of an IPA commissioned report exclusive to
membership which was based on the Natural Marketing Institute’s (NMI) Global Supplement/OTC/Rx Database™(SORD). NMI surveyed consumers aged 18+ in the U.K., Germany, Italy and France to understand health behaviors, demographic profiles, supplement usage (i.e. drivers, influencers & concerns) as well as purchase habits (i.e. quality over price, store vs national brand) of adult E.U. probiotic users.
