OVERCOME

LEARNING NEW TECHNICAL SKILLS

For my video on research for my target audience research, I had to use the Edius Neo software. I had never used this software so I did not know how to edit the video I had shot. I used video tutorials on YouTube on how to edit using this software in order to gain enough skills to produce a video of a good level.

EURO SIGN For the barcode section of my front page, I used the

convention of having the price of the magazine in different countries. At first I chose my font that I thought was fitting for this section. However, when I entered the Euro sign, a black symbol came up. I tried other fonts to see if I could input the Euro sign but I could not find one that suited the section as well. Therefore instead, to overcome this problem, I changed the country that I would sell my magazine in.

FINDING RIGHT MODEL It could be argued that the model I have

chosen my front page cover does not conventionally fit the appearance of a magazine cover.

However I would argue against this. I wanted a model with large eyes to really attract the reader’s attention when they see the magazine. Furthermore the model has the right appearance that fits in with the target audience I want to attract as she has ethnic jewellery, dark clothing and the correct hairstyle that fits in with my target audience.

Overall with the eye make-up and editing that I did to the image, it is exactly what I wanted to achieve for my front cover page.
