Dear Fr. Crookston,Just a very small donation for a very important and
inspiring ministry - The Sunday Masses from St.John Gualbert Cathedral. We are couple in the 75+age group and we enjoy and are inspired by thehomilies and music every Sunday. Even before thepandemic and bad winter weather, we would gethome from church to hear the homily from St.John's. Thoughts and prayers for good health to Fr.Sean Code and Fr. Chuck Bridges (we rememberhim from his radio broadcast days), and to you Fr.Crookston for continued good health. Our prayers, thanks, and appreciation to you and your staff. MayGod bless all of you abundantly.

No two Easter traditions are entirelythe same...
While decorating Easter eggs, collectingcandy from the Easter bunny, and dressing up inhead-to-toe pastels is common in Eastercelebrations in the United States, countries
around the world have their own set of Easter
traditions that may surprise you. From havingwater fights in the streets all across Poland, toreading crime novels in Norway, to replacingthe Easter Bunny with the Easter bilby inAustralia, what people do during Holy Week oron Easter itself varies from culture to culture
and even region to region within the samecountry.
No matter where in the world you are, everyEaster tradition has its origin. In the UnitedStates, the holiday traditions began whenGerman immigrants who settled in Pennsylvaniabrought their stories of an egg-laying harecalled "Osterhase" with them, The HistoryChannel reported. Children would make nestswhere the hare would lay its colorful eggs. Overtime, the custom spread across the country andexpanded to include Easter morning deliverieslike chocolates and other holiday candies.Eventually, Easter baskets replaced the nests, and the Easter bunny replaced the hare, according to History. Easter eggs are likelylinked to pagan traditions, considering eggsthemselves represent an ancient symbol of newlife, which was associated with Spring paganfestivals. In Christianity, the eggs are symbolicof Jesus' resurrection, and decorating themmarked the end of the period of penance andfasting that's known as the Lenten season.
