Mpo/Mtp® polArity optionsThe use of pre terminated fibre assemblies and cassettes is growing, and the deployment of systems with speeds up to and beyond 100 Gbits/second are on the horizon for many users. As a result, the issue of maintaining polarity in parallel fibre optic links is becoming increasingly important.

Maintaining polarity through the use of array cables requires careful planning. Multiple cable types, fibre counts, row counts, adapter types and transceiver protocols add up to a significant number of options. Please use the guide below to determine the correct cable polarity to use in your network.

SC/LC FTTH OUTLET

2 WAY SLIDInG COnnECTOR COVER FTTH BOx

More than 10 million homes worldwide already have fibre-to-the-home broadband connections. The technology involved in fibre optic communication holds many advantages over traditional copper networks.

A key benefit to FTTH — also called FTTP, for “fibre-to-the-premises” broadband — is that it provides faster connection speeds and carrying capacity than twisted pair conductors, DSL or coaxial cable. For example, a single copper pair conductor can carry six phone calls. A single fibre pair can carry more than 2.5 million phone calls simultaneously.

DESCRIPTIOn FEATURESOPTiFab’s fibre termination box is constructed from a lightweight, strong ABS housing. A compact design with a sliding removable cover for ease of access during installation. It features front and rear cable entry points for 3mm or 5mm cable.

Dimensions (including lid)Length: 125mm x Width: 80mm x Height: 26mm
