SIMPLE SPEED/AREA METER

Farmscan AG’s Jackal Speed Area Meter Kit gives you cost-effective ground speed and area information to let you work out optimum application rates and minimise errors caused by incorrect ground speed.

Quickly calibrated to fit any tractor orimplement, the Jackal Speed Area Meter displays km/h or Mph and individual trip and total readouts allowing you to record both total and paddock areas and separate trip areas for each load.

A permanent memory of calibration factors and totals make it simple and convenient to use, and with the ability to connect an optional external ‘Run Hold’ it won’t count ground covered during refilling trips.

Easily read in direct sunlight, and illuminated for night use, the Farmscan AG Jackal Speed Area meter is suitable for use on any tractor, 4x4, or four wheeled ag-bike.

Protected against the elements , the magnetic wheel sensor can be mounted on any non-driven tractor or implement wheel, however for greater accuracy where wheel slip is an issue, an optional GPS speed sensor can be purchased.

With Farmscan AG’s Jackal Tacho Kit it’s easy to check that important shafts and pulleys are turning at the right speed.

A big, easy-to-read illuminated LCD display gives you an instant RPM readout, and with user-adjustable alarm points you get a clear, audible warning if rpm climbs too high or falls too low.

The Farmscan AG Jackal can display flow rate, volume for each batch and accumulated total in litres or gallons. With a large display, it’s clearly visible in

direct sunlight.

The Jackal also gives you the quantity of water for each spray tank mix.

Displaying flow rate, volume for each batch and accumulated total in litres or Gallons.

It’s ideal for large spray tanks, especially on part fills or when filling the tank on

uneven ground.

A flow sensor is plumbed into the fill line and connected by cable for remote

readout in a convenient location.

The screen is illuminated for night work to clearly display water quantities.

AUTOMATIC ShUTDOWN

When filling the tank, the operator can watch the display and shutdown the water manually or may preset a required batch volume and use the

optional solenoid shutdown kit to automatically stop the flow.

The Farmscan AG Jackal is a truly multifunctional monitor that adapts onto any machinery,

keeping check on up to 5 machine functions and providing full ground speed, distance and

area monitoring readouts.

It’s easy to use, ideal for Airseeders, Drills and Spraying operations, you can add optional

sensors to track metering shafts, bin levels, fan speed, air pressure and liquid flow rates.

The trip function allows recording and display for up to 10 field areas with a separate load

area meter that can be reset to check bin calibrations on every load.

The Farmscan AG Jackal monitor has 13 multiple connection points (Ports) which can be set

according to sensor type.

Typically on an airseeder you can choose 2 ports for Seed and Fertiliser Bin Level sensors,

then another 2 ports for Metering Shaft sensors and finally a port for Fan a sensor.

Day or night there’s no need to continually check the machine. The 1020 monitor warns you before major blockages end up costing you time and money! The result is much less downtime, faster seeding and complete peace of mind.

Its patented Red Eye sensors are a proven performer with hundreds

of systems in operation. It can pay for itself fast!

hOW IT WORKS

Fully sealed impact sensors equipped with bright red lights (Red Eye) are bolted to each secondary distribution head.

Sensors are then interconnected on a simple party line cable that runs across the implement, avoiding the need for messy separate wires to each sensor. As material flows, the sensor listens to the sound level according to sowing rates of seed and fertiliser, all the operator adjusts is the sen-sitivity control until the cab warning light remains just off - simple as that.

A drop in flowrate or blockage at any secondary head will activate the Red Eye at the sensor causing the cab alarm and warning light to activate. By switching to Hold, the operator can freeze the system and a quick inspection of all sensors will immediately pinpoint the problem.

The 1020 assists in picking many other problems with airseeders such as fan too slow or not engaged, disconnected and blocked primary hoses, lids not properly shut, empty bins, broken drives etc.

SETTING YOUR TRAMLINES

You can easily set guidance lines for your operations

choosing between parallel, contour guidelines or existing

tramlines.

PARALLEL TRACKING

In the Parallel Tracking mode, the G6 FARMNAVIGATOR

creates parallel tramlines on the screen along which you

can drive. On the display, Press A to start and B to end, the

AB segment will then be traced together with its parallel

segments. CONTOUR TRACKING

In the Contour Tracking mode, you can create the first

tramline in a curved field by pressing A to start and B to end.

This tramline will be replicated over the whole field.

ROUND AND ROUND

By setting the round and around guide lines you can create

concentric lines starting from the field’s perimeter. Press A,

then start driving along the perimeter and press B when it is

completed. The software will replicate the

concentric lines to the centre of the field.

LIGhTBAR NAVIGATION

After setting the tramlines, the Lightbar will show the driver if and how

much the vehicle is offtrack, so that you can adjust at any time.

VIRTUAL SPRAY BOOM COMMANDER

The G6 FARMNAVIGATOR shows the area that has already been treated and thanks to

the virtual spray boom commander it helps saving on product inputs, reducing costs

and improving productivity. You can even customise the spraying bar to the number

of sections, their length and the number of nozzles for each section.

During the navigation the virtual spray boom control will show which spray boom

section has to be switched off to avoid overlapping. If the spraying bar is pass-

ing over and area that has already been treated, the section will be highlight-

ed in red on the screen to warn you to switch it off, and it will go back to yellow

when it exits the treated area, meaning it can be turned on again. These warnings

are very useful when making a U turn or when trying to avoid an obstacle. The

Virtual Boom section commander works in parallel, contour and Tramline modes.

SAVE YOUR jOB & VIEW ThE jOB FILE IN GOOGLE MAPS™

When you start a new job, all its data (perimeter, area, treated area, obstacles,

timing, maximum DOP and maximum speed) will be saved in a database. The job can

be paused and restarted at any time.

You can see a data sheet for each job and you can export the database and overlay

to Google Maps™ format so that you can view it in Google Maps™ or Google Earth™.

AUTOSTEER

AgGuide V4 is designed to be modular, and moving it from vehicle to vehicle is a simple task.

A “Steering Ready Kit” is first installed on each vehicle that the AgGuide system operates from.

The AgGuide system contains 2 modules - the GPS base station and the GPS “rover” tractor kit.

The rover tractor kit is an integrated system, with the GPS and radio housed in one small unit. (When used with RTK)

There are no bulky docking stations or big boxes in the tractor cab, just the PC at your finger tips and the rover mounted out of the way.

Up and down hills or through boggy conditions, the spray controller 24V1 compensates for changes in speed, pump pressure or section shutdown to maintain the target rate you select.

GPS CONTROL AND COVERAGE MAPPING

The 24V1 spray controller has a bi-directional serial port ready to connect with a range of guidance systems, allowing auto boom switching, coverage mapping and live reporting. (additional hardware is required, ie ac-2010/24v1 adapter cable for

trimble)

CONTROL OPTIONS

The standard spray controller 24V1 kit is supplied with a 3 or 5 section control bank including pressure relief valve (PRV), proportional flow control valve, precision flow sensor and motorised section control valves to suit boom sprayers and low volume horticultural sprayers.

Alternative control valves and sensors are available for high volume airblast and ultra low volume applications.

An optional dump valve is available to divert pump delivery back to the tank whenever the master switch or section valves are switched off.(This is highly recommended if using a diaphragm pump)

A second sprayline can be set up as a single section or split sections using multiple section valves.

The optional pressure sensor is available to provide a pressure read-out and pressure-based control of the slow hold and second sprayline functions.

The controller will accept radar, magnetic wheel sensor (standard), speedo drive cable sensor, or GPS speed sensor.

SIMPLE LIQUID RATE CONTROLLER

The 22C6 liquid controller provides ground speed related control of liquid products being delivered at low volume through a single boom or liquid distribution system.

The controller will automatically maintain the selected target spray rate regardless of speed or pressure variations within the limits of pump capacity and nozzle/orifice size.

The system employs a low volume flowsensor and stainless steel ball control valve to throttle the main delivery line. A pressure sensor provides live feedback of the operating pressure and has an alarm function to warn of sudden pressure loss if a hose becomes disconnected.The control valve opens automatically when the vehicle starts moving and closes when you stop or turn the MASTER switch off.

With the master valve in place it allows for instant stop/start control of spray when turning at headlands.

The 22C6 provides a “DUMP” function, which allows flushing of the spraylines when stationary. Rates can be increased or decreased on-the-run in preset steps using the UP/DOWN keys or rates can be changed under GPS control when the controller is connected via the serial port to a guidance System or another computer-based product with GPS rate mapping and controlling software.

The 22C6 also keeps a TOTAL of areas covered and volume applied, plus TRIP records for up to 10 sub areas.
