Taurus F1
Vigorous, big sized, round cabbage in the Blue-Green type. For fresh market and processing. Well adapted to a wide range of growing conditions.
Technical Information:• Around 100-110 growing days from transplanting till maturity. • Average head weight 2,5 to 6,0 kg depending on plant density. • Recommended plant population 25.000- 35.000 pl/ha.• Well filled heads with good field holding capacity.• Very consistent performance.• Suitable for (humid) summer crops as well for overwintering under very mild frost conditions. • Strong against bolting.• Very high level of resistance to Black Rot (Xanthomonas).• High Resistance to Fusarium conglutinans (YR).
Product Information:Taurus F1 is a very vigorous and easy growing hybrid with a high level of disease resistance. It will always result in a very high yield of many big sized heads. The plant is very uniform and high on the stem which avoids soil contact, advantage in wet conditions. On the field only minor losses due to very good standing ability and strength against bolting. The internal structure is excellent and makes Taurus also suitable for processing. The nice sweet taste will be appreciated especially in the fresh market. In the field and during transport the heads are well protected by the strong and big outer leaves. The flexibility and reliability of the variety will be appreciated by growers and the variety can find his place in many different geo-graphical areas.
