Chain feed implemented as a standardThe chain feed will be implemented as a standard on the following machines:

• FlexiROC T50• FlexiROC C65• FlexiROC D50• FlexiROC D55 • FlexiROC D60• FlexiROC D65• SmartROC D65

All above rigs, leaving the factory from August 2013 (for some models already during July), will be equipped with a chain feed. The only exception is theFlexiROC D50 manufactured in Nanjing, China. Those rigs will have the chain feed implemented at a later stage.

If the rig is equipped with a chain feed or not can be seen on the MO for that specifi c rig under the fi eld Standard confi gurations, Factory installed equip-ment.

When the cylinder feed was introduced on “L-MK II rigs,” back in 2006, our focus was to give our cus-tomers benefi ts such as; higher pullback force and smoother feeding to increase life length of drill steel. With this new chain feed design, with heavy duty chain feed motor located in the bottom of the feed, we will take it to the next step and increase the service intervals and rig availability at the same time that we keep the high pullback force and smooth feeding.

Upgrade kit availableUpgrade kits are available for rigs that are already in operation.

For more information about part numbers and re-building instructions see Atlas Copco Service Prod-ucts database.

A link to the database has been included in the e-mail for this Product Update.

Longer service intervalsThe chain feed is well proven and provides a bet-ter feed operation with longer service intervals for maintenance of the feed system. This gives the rig a higher availability.

This chain feed solution has been developed and tested in close collaboration together with customers and CC.

COP 5060CRCOP 5060CR is now implemented as an option on FlexiROC C65 LF with drill string CR127 and CR140.

The COP 5060CR adds a new level of power to theCOPROD family with an increased power out-put. Even with this higher energy output the COP 5060CR utilizes the same powerpack as the COP 4050CR/HE. This combination, together with the new improved dual dampening system, yields sig-nifi cantly increased rock drill effi ciency.

During the fi eld test the COP 5060CR has accom-plished more than 600 000 drilled meters and 9000 impact hours.
