Fox Searchlight pictures is quite a large scale production company, this would allow us to have a large budget. However they are not known for producing thrillers, there highest grossing film was ‘The Full Monty’, and since they are not known for producing thriller I do not think they would be ideal for producing our film.

New Line Cinema is renowned for it’s ability as a production company to spread broadly into films of all types of genre, including thrillers. However it also involves itself in other genres such as Musical, comedy and romance such as Hairspray. Being such a successful production company they would have a high budget, which is a benefit.

Castle Rock Entertainment

Castle Rock Entertainment has produced various films of all genres. When Harry Met Sally is an example of a romance/ comedy produced by Castle Rock. However they have also produced various successful thrillers such as Misery. They have produced high budget, popular films such as polar express.

To conclude I think the best option of a production company for our film would be Castle Rock Entertainment. Since it is quite well known and would allow us to have a high budget to create a professional looking film. They have produced successful thrillers in the past such as Misery therefore I think it would be ideal for our film.
