There are lots accomplishments that make me feel proud of. But I am most proud of the fact that at my final placement, the center offers me a position. They saw the effort I have made during my placement and was pleased to work in the team with them. I can see myself growing in a professional way that shows I am ready for the field of early childhood education.

In the journey of educating, there are many

times I face challenges and obstacle. For

example in my first placement I was so

nervous and shy. Little by little I encouraged

myself to be outgoing and confident. Towards

the second field placement I was much more

outgoing and open to the fields. I was

learning but most importantly I was gaining

and creating my own philosophy. In my last

placement I can proudly say that I am ready

to become a professional early childhood

educator.

As a lifelong learner and reflective practitioner I discover that open communication is critical. Always willing to learn and asking people for information, and exchange in learning process helps me learning in different ways. Talk to people gives me an insight of others and aware of the world around me. That helps me gain knowledge. I have the habit of writing my daily journal, it helps me to reflect on my daily living and improve on those I have failed to do. Every day for me is a learning opportunity, I like to read and share with others.

I am full of passion and enthusiasm. The

reason I choose this career is because I

believe I can bring values into my career. I

don’t consider early childhood educator as a

work, or job, but I think it is something I like

to do and enjoying doing it. Isn’t it great to

do things that you like for the rest of your

life? I believe in myself that

I, children, families, communities will work

collaboratively together.

I think the key is to become a better

human being. I have the knowledge in

guidance to help children solve conflicts

by themselves, encourage

independence, promote self-esteem.

Children learn in the classroom to

socialize with others, but they also bring

their skills into their daily life.
