Govt. Islamia College Kasur has been playing its role to educate the new
generation for befitting them for life. It was established in 1956 by the
Anjuman-e-Islamia Kasur and nationalized in October 1971. It can boast of such
teachers as are endless reservoirs of knowledge and such students as are
emblems of submission, study and struggle.
Recently, it has introduced Master Classes in English, Mathematics Economics
and Physics. The auspicious inauguration of B.Com, I.Com, and I.C.S classes
has added to the functionality of the college.
The construction of the grand M.A block has multiplied the grandeur of the
Alma Mater. Efforts are being made for the construction of separate commerce
Block in the college.
The regular editions of the Al-Adab, and college Gazette mirror the educational,
intellectual, creative and research activities of the teachers as well as the students
of the college. Observance of discipline with respect to uniform, class-work,
attendance, and co-curricular activities is hallmark of the college campus.
The Board and University results provide a solid testimony to the above
mentioned facts and invite students to avail themselves of the golden
opportunity for education and character-building.
