UNDERGRADUATE SCHOOLS REPRESENTED BY FOUR OR MORE FIRST-YEARS:
JENI HENDRICKS grew up in the Osage Nation and worked on Native American law and policy issues at a law firm in Washington, D.C., after graduating from Dartmouth College.
“I chose UVA because everyone I met who attended the Law School lit up when I asked them about their law school experience,” she said. “When I visited the Law School for the first time, unannounced, administrators willingly spoke to me at length about what UVA Law has to offer and were genuinely interested in my goals and passions. I was impressed by UVA’s dedication to community while also being focused on the individual law school experience.”

PROFILE
After graduating from Harvard University with
a master’s in environ-mental health, LYNN ONYEBEKE worked
as a clinical research coordinator for a major
health system in New York City. Seeing the
complexity of navigating health care laws and
regulations inspired her to pursue a law degree.
She made the decision to attend UVA Law after
visiting the school.
“Throughout my academic and profes-
sional career, I’ve always worked in a collegial
and team-oriented environment,” Onyebeke
said. “I chose to attend UVA Law because it
offered the opportu-nity to obtain a great
legal education and continue that experience
of working within a supportive, collaborative
community.”
A University of Southern California graduate, ANTHONY “A.J.” SANTIAGO worked on asylum law cases at an immigra-tion law firm in Los Angeles and interned for a judge at the New York Supreme Court before law school.
“In my search for law schools that would prepare me for a successful career as a civil rights lawyer, UVA stood out as the best school for me by far,” he said. “I felt that the Law School’s strength in constitutional law, coupled with its out-standing commitment to preparing students for public service, would position me to excel in the field of civil rights.”
