Thank you and welcome to Profit Pinning. This is a detailed guide that

will outline how you, the affiliate marketer, can benefit from Pinterest.

You have picked up this guide because you are already aware of what

Pinterest is by some extent. There is a lot of hype surrounding Pinterestright now. Imagine if you were one of the first people to join Facebook

and you were able to profit from day 1. Many affiliate marketers made

a lot of money in the early days of Facebook, and now you can, too,

with Pinterest. There is a huge base of users right now, and it is set to

explode exponen*ally.

This book is created with the affiliate marketer in mind, from fellow

affiliate marketers. The focus of this report is on CPA marke*ng, but

you can easily transfer this knowledge into any type of affiliate

marke*ng. We want you to succeed!

Pinterest Basics

Pinterest is a new social media site that is geared strictly to images. You

start with a board and as you go around the web you can pin

interes*ng images to it. Your posts will show up on your friends feeds

and they will be able to see what you pin, and they themselves can re-

pin your images. Think of the viral effect this will.

At the *me of wri*ng this, Pinterest remains an invite-only website. As

the user base expands it will be no *me un*l the membership is open

for anyone to sign up. Originally launched in 2010, the site has grown

by the millions in 2011 alone. There are over 12 million people using

Pinterest, and many of the major brands are now signed up.

Joining Pinterest

At the *me of wri*ng, Pinterest is invite only. Here are some various

ways to get a Pinterest invite. You can also ask us.

How to get an invite:

1. Ask for it directly from Pinterests website.

2. Find groups on Facebook that are dedicated to Pinterest invites.3. Ask your friends and family.

4. Find various forums that offer Pinterest invites, or request one on

other pinning forums.

Activating Your Account

You will receive an invita*on email from Pinterest giving you an

ac*va*on link. Clicking this link will bring you to the sign up page.

Unfortunately, you need to sign up using your Facebook or Twier

account at this *me. The good thing is that you will be able to unlink

your account once you are setup, although we recommend that you

keep your account linked, and you should also add the other account.

We will show you why later, when we talk about geng your pins viral.

Aer you have linked your account you, will be brought to a page

where you will set your username and password. Note that your

username will form part of the URL ex: pinterest.com/username. You

may want to consider a high traffic keyword here.

The next screen you will be brought to is the interests page. Pinterest

will recommend people to follow based on the interests you choose.

You also will not be able to change these, so choose wisely! If you do

pick some boards here you will be able to un-follow them.

Account Setup

Now that the account is setup you need to jump to your profile sengsand make a few changes there. In the top right, you will see your

picture and name. Click there and go to Sengs. You will no*ce under

Details that some basic informa*on was grabbed from either Facebook

or Twier when you linked the two accounts together.

You can change your photo here to something more appealing if you

dont want your Facebook/Twier photo here.

It is recommended that you fill in the about sec*on. Make sure you

keep SEO in mind when filling this out and put relevant keywords as

they relate to your business.

Make sure you also put in your website URL to get a powerful backlink.

Pinning Basics:

Before we get into how to pin, there is some basic terminology that we

need to get out of the way.

Boards: To give you a visual, pretend this is like a wall, fridge or corkboard that you would pinthings to. You can setup different types of boards such as Favorite Foods Fast Cars etc

Pin: The idea is to pin pictures to your board. Anytime you find something interesting, you canpin it to your board.

Re-pin: This is similar to Twitters re-tweet. When you like someones pin you can re-pin it toyour boards so that everyone can see. We want to focus on this later because this is what willmake your pins go viral.

Like: If you see a pin that you like, but dont think you want to re-pin it, you can always just likeit. If you want to get more followers you should like a lot of pins as this will get your name outthere more and give you more exposure.

How to pin:

When you first sign into Pinterest, you will be asked to create some

pinboards. A few good sugges*ons would be to create boards such asMy Favorite Products or Favorite Food. Try to create boards that

would be relevant to the products you plan on promo*ng.

When signed into Pinterest, there are two ways to post a pin to your

pinboard. You can either post a pin from a URL or photo on your hard

drive, or repost someone elses pin. If you want to repin an already

pinned item, you just hover over the item and a repin buon will

appear. You can also click on the image to have the repin buonappear. Repinning is an excellent way to fill up your pinboards when

you are first star*ng out in Pinterest.

The second way to pin using webpage content is by adding the pin it

buon to your browsers favorite bar. You can do this by going to your

about sec*on on your Pinterest page. Within this page, you will find the

pin it buon that you click and drag your bookmarks bar.

Demographics of Pinterest

To successfully market on Pinterest, you must understand the

demographics.

Based on the above sta*s*cs, it is safe to assume that marke*ng

towards females in the above demographics will see some handsome

returns.

The Importance of Followers:

As with every other effec*ve Social Media marke*ng plan, you must

treat Pinterest exactly as it is a Social media plaorm. As with every

social media plaorm, you will judged and liked based on the quality of

the content you post.

To gain maximum exposure in Pinterest, you need to follow others, like

their posts and repin other pins.

1) Sync your Pinterest account with your Facebook and Twier.

This is extremely simple to do. Once it is setup you will have easy

access to the messaging and following op*on that allows you to

send out endless Pinterest invites to friends and family. You will

also be able to see which of your friends are pinning.

2) Crea*vity

When you are naming your boards, be as crea*ve as possible. Pickunique names for your boards that will spark interest and

encourage other users to follow you. Try to make your boards

appear as if they tell a story.

3) Keep the focus on what you market and build a brand.

S*ck with your niche. If you plan on promo*ng electronics, build

your boards around this. You will aract more people who are

interest in your niche when they see this is all you want to pin.

4) Use #Hash #Tags.

Most people are unaware that Pinterest uses hash tags. This

makes it easy for people to access what they are looking from and

tagging other Pinterest members with the @ symbol. This willencourage conversa*on, hype and really aract followers.

5) Use your blog!

If you have other traffic sources such as a blog, you need to grab

and harness this traffic into more Pinterest followers. You can

easily install a Pinterest buon on your blog or use various

plugins. Try holding pinning contests to get more exposure!

6) Whats trending!

You can see what is trending on Pinterest by visi*ng Pinterests

Popular page. From here you can see whats being pinned fromyou site or blog, as well as seeing whats hot. Pin some topics on

the hot trends and make sure you hash tag them for maximum

exposure.

7) Follow and Comment.

This is one of the most effec*ve ways to get more followers.

When you follow or comment on peoples pins, they will get a

no*fica*on on their dashboard. This allows you to connect to the

many users out there and gain more exposure for your brand or

product. Make sure you leave wiy and apprecia*ve comments to

users who leave good posts.

Af=iliate Marketing on Pinterest

Now that you understand the basics of how Pinterest works, its *me to

explore the lucra*ve possibili*es Pinterest provides for affiliate

marketers. This sec*on is the core of this report as it will discuss the

various op*ons of how to use Pinterest to make money.

The method is extremely simple and does not require any type of

genius or technical knowledge to understand. The method is all about

gaining exposure and massive traffic by doing very lile work at all. If

you con*nue to post quality content and pins you will con*nue to

aract more followers. Every *me you create a new post you have the

opportunity for that post to go viral in no *me.

One thing you should not do is sign up for Pinterest and immediately

begin pos*ng affiliate links and products. People will immediately catch

on to this and have no interest in following you. It is never

recommended to have more than 1-in-7 or 1-in-8 pictures which

contain an affiliate link.

Begin by following people and re-pinning their posts. Create 6-8 boards

and make sure that the first 9 images are filled in each one. You can

easily do this by re-pinning other peoples content. By doing this you

will gain more exposure and look like an ac*ve user that provides

quality content.

The CPA Marketing Pinning Method

Note We have used CPA purely as an example, you can subs*tute

any affiliate marke*ng offer in this strategy

CPA marke*ng on Pinterest is extremely lucra*ve. Pinterest is so easy

to market CPA offers it is not even funny. Because people will be

clicking on your links solely based on the picture and cap*on you haveprovided, you have an amazing opportunity to get many conversions.

Whether or not you are using email submits or selling actual products

through CPA, I will show you a step by step method on how to get

setup your pins.

1. Log into your CPA marke*ng account. For this method I will be

using Peerfly. Search the various offers and try to find an offerthat will meet the above men*oned demographics. Offers in the

health & beauty, fashion dcor or gadgets are the best offers to

pick from. If you can find an iPad or iPhone offer, they tend to

convert the most.

These offers convert really well on Pinterest as they are extremely

hot products that meet the demographics of Pinterest.

2. Once you have found your offer, you need to grab your affiliate

product link and copy it.

3. Login to your Pinterest account and start crea*ng a new pin. On

your Pinterest home screen you will see the Add + Buon in thetop right hand corner.

4. At this point you should already have some boards setup. In this

example, we will use a Wicked Products board and post the iPad

offer. When using CPA offers, you need to use the Upload a Pin.

5. When you upload your own pin, you need to provide an image.

There is a lot of controversy surrounding usage rights about

pinning on Pinterest, so I like to keep it safe. I use Google image

search, and filter by usage rights, free to use or share. You can

access this from the Google images search page. Click on sengs

in the top right hand corner, then half way down the page you will

see the usage rights drop down menu. Choose free to use or

share.

6. Once you have found an image you want to use for you pin, save

it to your hard drive so you can upload it to your Pin.

7. Now select the image from your hard drive for your pin.

8. Select the board you want to pin this to. You can either select an

exis*ng one, or create a new one. In this example we are going to

use a gadgets board as it fits the niche more appropriately.

9. Write a compelling descrip*on that will convince people to click

on your link. Aer you write your descrip*on, click Pin It.

10. IMPORTANT Your link is currently not ac*vated one more step

to go here!

The next thing you will see is your actual Pin. At the top you will

see an edit buon. Click here to open the proper*es of the pin.

Here is where you will insert your directly linked affiliate URL andclick save pin.

12. At this point it is important to test your pin. Aer clicking the

Save Pin, you will be brought to your pin page. This is how your

followers will see it. Clicking on the image will bring you through

to your link. Make sure you test the link! Some*mes there is an

error, and you dont want to miss out on a load of traffic.

13. Repeat and test. It is important that you track which images and

pins convert the most. Make sure to use your CPA companies built

in tracking tools to do this. Some pins will not work as well as

others, it is up to you to find op*mize these.

Maxbounty Issues

There are *mes when Maxbounty links dont work through Pinterest.

There is a quick fix to this. If you own your own Wordpress blog, you

can add a simple plugin that will cloak your affiliate links. When doing

this, you will drive traffic from Pinterest to your blog where the traffic

will then be simply re-directed to the CPA offer.

Other Type of Af=iliate Marketing

We used CPA marke*ng as a simple example of how to post affiliate

links on Pinterest and make cash. Dont feel that you are strictly bound

by this way of marke*ng. There are many different types of affiliate

campaigns you can do such as:

Amazon

Clickbank

Commission Junc*on

Warrior Forum WSOs

Just insert your affiliate link and you are laughing all the way to the

bank!

Building a Residual Income:

Now that you have completed these easy to follow steps, you need

to do them at least 10 *mes a day. This is extremely easy once you

have figured out which posts are working for you. Just keep pos*ngor re-pinning these posts every day. Make sure you con*nue to

follow other users so you can get a follow back from them.

Outsource Your Work:

If you dont have 20 minutes a day to do this, you can alwaysoutsource this work to someone using oDesk. Imagine if you had

someone working 8 hours a day across mul*ple Pinterest accounts?

You would see exponen*al growth in your affiliate profits.

When looking for an outsourcer, ensure that they have experience in

both CPA/affiliate marke*ng as well as Pinterest. When using oDesk,

there are a lot of contractors out there who will tell you theyunderstand your task exactly, when in reality they dont. When I

outsource, I hire people who know how to do the tasks. The only

things I teach them are how to incorporate those tasks into my

business opera*on.

Once you have found a great outsourcer for these tasks, you need to

setup a tracking system. oDesk has a built in system that allows you

to go back and watch what the contractor did all day. You should

also have them report back at the end of each day with all the posts

that they did. This will allow you to verify each post, and ensure thatthey are accurately doing the tasks you have asked them to do.

Using Fiverr to Outsource

There are many different opportuni*es to use Fiverr right now. You

can find some gigs that offer pinning and re-pinning of your posts.

Take a look around on Fiverr. Just type pinterest into Fiverrs

search func*on.

amazing success using Pinterest. Right now you have the opportunity

in the world. Using the above techniques I have shown you an

amazing and easy to use technique that will grow your boom line.

you risk geng banned.

Pinterest, and the buzz is really swarming. Pinterest is currently

being searched more than every other social media site (except

Facebook).
