Draft Format for Inspection (To be filled by the Visiting Officer on receipt of feedback about the Vidyalaya from the concerned Principal in the enclosed format)

1 Mandate of Inspection 2 Introduction: Brief History of the school indicating the year of establishment, its location and how

to reach the Vidyalaya, Highest class, stream, students strength etc. 3 Student strength class-wise/category-wise on the date of visit & related observations. 4 Gist of admissions made in class VI, IX & XI & streams offered. 5 Gist of Staff strength – Covering sanctioned post, in position, vacant posts, appointment on contract

basis & strength & weaknesses of the teaching & non-teaching staff deployed in the Vidyalaya, distribution of work among the staff and related observations.

6 Gist of Functioning of Misc. Category of Teachers including role & responsibilities assigned to these teachers and their contribution in the overall development of the personality of the students and image of the Vidyalaya.

7 Gist of Observation about the functioning of Library, Computer Labs, Science & other Labs, class-room teaching, coverage of syllabus, quality of teaching, Home assignments & its evaluation, migration of students, text book, subject committees, conduct of practicals, internal examination/tests system etc. and related observations.

8 Gist of Analysis of result of Board/Non-Board classes, overall quality & qualitative performance of students & related observations.

9 Gist of Observation about functioning of house, systems, visit of House Masters, living conditions of students, staff & property.

10 Gist of Observation about the infrastructure readily available, its optimum use & general upkeep vis –a- vis current student strength. Similarly the observations about the buildings, if any, declare unsafe, under construction, progress of work etc.

11 Gist of Observation about the Dining Hall, Mess Menu, quality of food, per child expenditure & maintenance of related records by C.A. & Storekeeper & services rendered by the Mess Staff.

12 Gist of Specific observation about the overall conditions of available toilets & washroom, playfields, boundary wall, use of M&R Budget, development of campus and its general cleanliness.

13 Gist of Observation about the availability of Electricity & Water etc. in the campus.

14 Gist of Observation about the conduct of various meetings, panel inspection, Vidyalaya Audit, Vidyalaya vehicle, Award of AMC, Fire Extinguisher & maintenance of related records etc.

15 Gist of Observation about the functioning of Vidyalaya office, disposal of personal claim of employees & procurement & purchase system & maintenance of relevant records.

16 Gist of specific observations about the safety & security measures undertaken by the JNV including arrangement for counseling, if any.
