the curriculum last updated.
The proposed changes in the curriculum are discussed in the Board of Studies meetings and further recommended to the Academic Council meeting for approval. Curriculum was last updated on 22nd Sept 2012.

5.4 Furnish details of the following aspects of curriculum design:
Innovation such as modular curricula Inter/multidisciplinary approach.
In designing Curriculum, apart from core subjects, emphasis are given on open Electives ie.; Humanities, Basic Sciences, Management subjects, Environmental Sciences and foreign languages.

The framing of policy regarding academic audit process is under consideration.

The student is evaluated based on class/tutorial participation, assignment work, class
tests, mid term tests, quizzes and mid term examinations and end semester
examination all of which contribute to the final grade awarded to the subject.
Student performance in each theory course is evaluated out of a maximum of 100
marks of which 50 marks are for in semester and 50 marks for end semester
assessments.

5.8 What modes of evaluation of answer scripts does the University follow? Whether
external experts are invited for evaluation?
Evaluation of answer scripts are made internally by the respective faculty through centralized evaluation process.
5.9 Mention the number of malpractice cases reported during the last 3 years and how they
are dealt with
Total 25 cases of malpractice were reported during the Academic Years 2011-12 and 2012-13 and reported to Malpractice Committee constituted by the University. Punishments were awarded as per the nature of the specific cases.

Does the university have a continuous internal evaluation system
Yes, A student performance is continuously assessed in all courses. The student is evaluated based
on class/tutorial participation, assignment work, class tests, mid term tests, quizzes
and mid term examinations and end semester examination all of which contribute to
the final grade awarded to the subject.
5.12 How are the question papers set to ensure the achievement of the course objectives
The question papers are set by the individual faculty as per the guidelines issued by the office
of the controller of examinations to ensure the achievement of the course objectives.

16.1 Strength of the University
a) Manipal University Jaipur has been Promoted by Dr. TMA Pai Foundation having Sixty years of rich and varied experiences in establishment, operations and maintenance of higher, technical and medical education Institutions/colleges/ Universities in India & abroad.
b) The University is getting financial support and assistance from Dr. TMA Pai Foundation/Manipal group of Institutions and other Financial Institutions.
c) The University is also getting the services of experienced faculty from other constituent units of Manipal group of Institutions as visiting and guest faculty.
d) The University is having a sprawling campus, spread over 66.6 Acres of land, which provide ample scope and opportunities for future growth and expansion of activities.
e) The University is having Impressive Buildings and quality infrastructure facilities. f) All the laboratories are well equipped with modern and sophisticated equipment
and machinery. g) Most of the faculty are highly qualified and experienced with Ph.D degree in
respective subjects. h) The Library is having rich collection of Library books and Journals covering different
Subjects/Academic Programs offered by the University.
16.2 Weakness of the University
Lac of better transport facilities, accommodation for faculty and staff on the campus, distance from market are some of the weaknesses, which will soon be over, once the construction of the boys and girls hostels, faculty residence and shopping centres are completed by the end of 2014/2015.
