Program A of the January 2020 Subscription Concert(Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th) Change of soloist
Hanna-Elisabeth Müller, the soprano who had been scheduled to sing in the Program A of the January Subscription, is not able to visit Japan for personal reasons. She will be replaced by soprano Marisol Montalvo. The program and other performers remain the same.

Marisol Montalvo is an American soprano, specialized in modern and contemporary music, and captivates audiences with her flexible and sweet voice. She is particularly associated with the title role of Berg’s Lulu, and has sung the role in many opera houses across Europe including the Opéra National de Paris, while in concerts, she has worked with many renowned orchestras such as the Vienna Philharmonic and the Orchestre de Paris under the baton of Christoph Eschenbach, who has been her mentor. They worked together in Mahler’s “Auferstehung” (Resurrection) with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic in November 2019. Other famed conductors she has worked with include Daniel Harding, Vladimir Jurowski and Yuri Temirkanov with orchestras such as the Cleveland Orchestra, the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra.
