JESUS is Coming Soon”

Troublesome times are here, filling men‟s hearts with fear,

Freedom we all hold dear now is at stake. Humbling your heart to God saves from the chas-

tening rod. Seek the way pilgrims trod, Christians awake!

Chorus

Jesus is coming soon, morning or night or noon, Many will meet their groom, trumpets will sound.

All of the dead shall rise, righteous meet in the sky, Going where no one dies, Heavenward bound!

Troubles will soon be o‟er, happy forever more, When we meet on that shore, free from all care. Rising up in the sky, telling this world goodbye,

Homeward we then will fly, glory to share.

Chorus Jesus is coming soon, morning or night or noon,

Many will meet their groom, trumpets will sound. All of the dead shall rise, righteous meet in the sky,

Going where no one dies, Heavenward bound!

FORWARD SOLDIERS! FORWARD ON OUR KNEES!

Page 2: PROGRAM ARM

Dear Heavenly Father,

We praise You greatly, for it is not a coincidence that this person has come to the ARMAuS Bible Camp for a very special experience with You. Bless this person with the convicting presence of Your Spirit from this time on. Always remind this person of Your unfailing love and of Your free gift of an everlasting restored life in Jesus Christ. Thank You so much for Your promise of transforming each camper here through the outpouring of Your Holy Spirit. This we pray with all confidence because this is Your will, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

ARMAuS Bible Camp was first conceived as a mere MAS-AMiCUS Iligan City District event, copy-

ing from the ARME Bible Camp at the California Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. ARME means “arm me,” that is, with the Sword of Truth which is the Word of GOD, while ARMAuS means “arm MAS (the Movement of Adventist Students)” and “arm us (all of us as a group).” ARMAuS is pronounced as armas, which in our dialect means, provi-

dentially, a weapon. It was not yet, however, discerned at that time that GOD was having bigger plans for ARMAuS.

In a not so intentional FB message, one of our officers wrote to Pastor Ivor Myers of the ARME team asking for help in our upcoming ARMAuS version of their Bible camp. Amazingly, the pastor‟s reply was “absolutely,” and little did we know that he has already forwarded our request to his team and soon enough, emails were coming in from mem-bers of their team asking about our conditions here and offering all help. Still overwhelmed with the exchange of emails and their sincere responses to our groups‟ thrust, we were impressed, as they were too, that this was GOD‟s work for the revival here in our part of the Philippines. In fact, they immediately considered ARMAuS as ARME Inter-national, as they said that they had before been always praying to take ARME Bible Camp overseas, and that they

believed this was the answer to their prayer.

As such, this very first ARMAuS Bible Camp experience is a testimony to the unceasing working of GOD‟s hand for the revival of true Godliness among His people in this part of the globe. Even the ARME team believes that this

should be the epicenter for the next ARMEs to be called forth in the Philippines. Their prayers for us are unceasing.

For this weekend‟s ARMAuS, we would let the Holy Spirit take us closer to our heavenly home by touching our hearts through genuine united prayers in the Prayer Time and in the All-Day Prayer Room, straight-from-the-Word messag-es during worship and in lectures, spirit-filled singing throughout the camp hours, and powerful Bible sharing in

groups. Then with fresh and refreshed commitments, we let the outpouring of the Holy Spirit revive us to the LORD.

As you participate in this unusual, unearthly, unimagined Bible camp, take time to be surrendered to the LORD JESUS CHRIST through His Holy Spirit‟s leading, and just let the WORD of GOD meet you here Himself. Remember that before you can take the last stand as a Christian soldier in the world, you must first be surrendered completely to the

Word.

Be ARMed Christian soldier! Be enlisted for eternity! Be trained in and be equipped with the Sword of the Spirit! Be a disciple that lives practical Biblical Christianity on all battlefield fronts of life! Pierce the world with the double-

edged Sword and help prepare the way to the hearts of the people for to hasten the second coming of Jesus Christ

Forward Soldiers! Forward on our Knees!

"God is willing to do great things for his people, and he has promised that if we ask we shall receive; but

many fail to grasp the promises of blessed assurance and help..." ST, December 8, 1890 par. 4

Why cloak Bible prophecies in Symbols?

Luke 8 :10 And He said, "To you it has been given to know the

mysteries of the kingdom of God, but to the rest it is given in

parables, that 'Seeing they may not see, And hearing they may not understand.'

Many of the apocalyptic prophecies were given while the

prophets were in a hostile foreign land. One reason God cloaked the prophecies in symbols was to protect the messages.

Gear up Soldier! Since this is a BIBLE CAMP, and we are studying the WORD of GOD, it would be well that we observe some things while we in the camp site. 1. Let us observe good and proper Christian Grooming. As much as possible, dress plainly and simply but neatly. "Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price” 1 Pet 3:3,4 2. All the campers are requested to refrain from singing secular music and watching secular things dur-ing the camp. Since we are studying GOD's WORD in and of itself, we should try as much as possible to refrain from those things. "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things" Phil. 4:8 3. As people representing CHRIST, our speech should also be same as CHRIST's. With the guiding of the Holy Spirit, let your speech be gentle, pure and that from above. Let no foul language be heard nor of-fensive and green jokes but that which is sweet to the soul and health to the bones. "Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer" Psalms 19:14 4. With CHRIST's strength, may we all remain pure and clean inside and out. Purity of heart and striv-ing for holiness of the inner life should be our spirit. Also, let us observe cleanliness in our surroundings. Put all garbage in the garbage bags provided. Keep clean your respective sleeping areas as well. "For the LORD thy God walketh in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give up thine enemies before thee; therefore shall thy camp be holy: that he see no unclean thing in thee, and turn away from thee" Deut 23:14 5. Alcoholic drinks and tobacco are strictly prohibited during the camp. All campers are also requested to refrain from eating junkfoods and the like. These things hinder the senses and the ability to grasp spiritual things. “Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise" Proverbs 20:1 6. Our evening sessions end up at 9 in the evening. All campers are advised to have a good night rest afterwards to keep the brain vitalized, and allow body regeneration. However, if you still have some things to do afterwards, please lower down your voices, and try not disturbing others. "I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety."Psalms 4:8 7. All the campers are not allowed to wander about the area during camp hours. If you have an im-portant business, a business more important than the camp that would require you to go out the camp, tell the camp staff before leaving. "And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it" Amos 8:12 8. Our camp schedule is as tight as its purpose is urgent: CHRIST in you! So please come on time and try not to be late during meetings! At ARMAuS Bible Camp, we are trained to be equipped as one of the soldiers of Jesus Christ here on earth. There-fore, observe the time schedules strictly and move like a soldier! When using public utilities like when bathing, do it quick to keep time and also give others chance to not be late for the meetings! "To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven" Ecc 3:1

9. And finally, in whatever you do, do all for GOD’s glory! Always reflect HIS light in the people around you! "Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God" 1Cor 10:31 " Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples" John 15:8

What is the The PraYer RooM all About?

It‟s about simply getting on our knees and praying…TOGETHER! It‟s about learning to connect and com-municate with our Commander. It‟s about coming together in united prayer, united confession, united sup-plication and united praise…and watching God heal hearts, restore faith, and bring hope and life to the soul! It‟s about becoming filled with the Holy Spirit and united with the source of all power available in our God! Truly we have found that the “Prayer Room” is one of the most impacting and important parts

of the ARMAuS Bible Camp Experience!

Some Prayer Room Testimonies..

When we tried the conversational prayer at church, we just felt the Holy Spirit touching each of us! Tears just poured out, prayers just went out. Before we did it, just this morning, we read the testimonies of the prayer page of the ARME website and I wondered how come they were able to say pray long, tight and strong. But, I've experienced it first hand now! It is just so nice and we were so blessed. We ended up crying, praying for each other, loving each other, united in CHRIST, an hour seemed like minutes. Prayers just popped out. Basta, our joy after the prayer can't be contained in words. And now I realized why it is such a powerful part of ARMAuS. It is just so wonderful. We started 8 pm and ended 10 pm. -ARMAuS Staff sabi ng ibang officers, gumaan daw yung feelings nila after praying. At dahil dun na-unite talaga kami mga officers, as in! sobra. Nandun talaga yung Holy Spirit. lahat kami naiyak. It makes you unselfish, kasi di mo na tinitingan ung sarili mo eh, it makes you think of others more. Praise GOD talaga! -MAS Officer
