Seattle is one of the most innovative, vibrant, and diverse places in the world, where the creativity of our denizens knows no bounds. Exploring – as Jimi Hendrix and Macklemore have done with music, as Ethan Stowell and Tom Douglas are doing with food and as Dale Chihuly has done with glass and canvas – is what Seattleites have been doing since the Denny party first arrived in this corner of the country. From aviators to software engineers to retail pioneers to football players, we passionately pursue our dreams, often overcoming great odds to succeed…

We are thrilled to announce two exciting changes in our office.
The search committee reviewed over 100 applicants and Caroline Bobanick (Bō-băn-ĭck) was selected to be Seattle 4’s new Club Manager, starting May 31st.
A huge thank you to Past President Laura Rehrmann and Harvey Rubinstein, co-chairs of the search committee, and committee members Beth Wojick, Carolyn Hojaboom, Roberta Nestsaas, Paula Houston, Paul Ishii, Ken Collings and
Jimmy Collins for their extraordinary work.
Caroline has an extensive resume in management of Seattle’s nonprofits including Clarion West, The Environmental Science Center, Gage Academy of Art, Pilchuck Glass School and the Chihuly Studio. We are excited about how her experience with event and operational management and volunteer leadership will compliment our organization.
Welcome to Seattle 4, Caroline!
Which brings me to the second announcement. Mariah Kimpton has been promoted to Associate Club Manager.
I have had the opportunity to work closely with Mariah since November. Her steady attitude, broad talent, work ethic and commitment to our club have been inspiring and truly anchored us during this transition. We are so very fortunate to have her!
In addition to her work with Seattle 4, Mariah was elected District 5030 Rotaract Representative! She will be in charge of facilitating communication and events between all 9 Rotaract clubs in the Seattle area.
Please join me in thanking Mariah and wishing her safe travel to the Rotary International Convention in Seoul Korea followed by a well deserved vacation in Laos and Vietnam.
Housekeeping note: Mariah will be gone May 25th through June 11th, and Caroline will be orienting into her new role. As a result, responses to requests and questions may be delayed.
Thank you in advance for your patience.
