FEMA obligation is not fast

Can submit an expedited Project Worksheet under current FEMA delivery model

Must submit an RPA for FEMA PA

Must demonstrate that your facility requires additional staff

Avoiding Duplication of Benefits

FEMA explicitly prohibits duplication of benefits

Many hospitals run into this problem when applying for FEMA assistance specifically

FEMA considers themselves the payers of last resort

Labor for COVID under PA must be in direct response to COVID or it will not be obligated through FEMA

For anything to be approved, FEMA must confirm that no duplication of funding exists prior to approval
