What is APP?A program for learners who are:▪ very capable▪ committed▪ enthusiastic▪ academic skills 6+ months ahead
APP provides a complete and flexible pathway for selected students beginning in year 7, with individualised pathways from Year 8 to Year 12.
Why APP?Learning is targeted to the students individual needs. ▪ stimulate deep learning and create personal challenge▪ target student’s individual strengths when planning their
pathways▪ improves outcomes for academically talented students ▪ challenging and dynamic environment
Structure of APP▪ Complete pathway for selected students▪ Year 7 - complete all classes together as one LG with the
same structure as standard Year 7▪ Year 8 - managed individual pathway with access to
acceleration in their individual areas of strength, remaining together for some subjects

TestingAustralian Council for Educational Research tests in:▪ reading comprehension▪ abstract reasoning▪ written expressionThe tests are skill-based and are designed to identify innate ability rather than acquired knowledge.Testing will be on: Saturday 23rd May
