I. DESCRIPCIÓN
Este curso está dirigido exclusivamente a estudiantes del tercer Ciclo de la Carrera Administración Aduanera. Pretende familiarizar al estudiante con el idioma inglés en un Nivel Técnico,(principiante- intermedio) con un énfasis en la comunicación oral y escrita. Se desarrolla en unperíodo de 14 semanas y la asistencia a clases es obligatoria por tratarse de un curso teóricopráctico. Al finalizar, el estudiante será capaz de utilizar el vocabulario y las estructurasgramaticales presentadas en cada unidad.
Su base metodológica es audio-oral y de lectura de textos técnicos, pues integra las necesidadespara la comunicación: escuchar, hablar, leer, y escribir. La evaluación del mismo permite medir elgrado de compresión de diversos aspectos. Para llevar este curso, el estudiante debe serestudiante propio de la carrera de Administración Aduanera. Este curso puede aprobarse porsuficiencia.
II. OBJETIVOS GENERALES
Usar el idioma inglés como un medio de comunicación oral y escrito, tomado de textos técnicos.Desarrollar en el estudiante la capacidad de usar el Inglés Técnico para realizar trámitesaduaneros y comerciales, en un nivel “principiante- intermedio”.
III. OBJETIVOS ESPECÍFICOS
A lo largo del curso el estudiante desarrolla su capacidad para:
3.1. Usar el idioma inglés, mediante diálogos, textos y ejercicios variados, para poder comunicarseen ese idioma e interpretar diferente documentación.
3.2. Participar de manera individual, en parejas, o en grupos, mediante diálogos o descripción desituaciones, analizar e interpretar documentación variada relacionada a trámites aduaneros.
3.3. Manejar el Inglés Técnico en un nivel “principiante- intermedio”, por medio de lectura ytraducción de textos, para realizar diversos trámites relacionados con su campo de trabajo.
3.4. Adquirir un extenso léxico técnico mediante lecturas y ejercicios dirigidos, para poder emplearvocabulario técnico en su área laboral, en este caso, gestiones aduaneras y mercadeo.

V. METODOLOGÍA
Este curso se enmarca dentro del enfoque comunicativo tanto oral como escrito. Una vez que sepresenta la unidad temática, se estimula al estudiante para que piense sobre el tema y lo relacionecon situaciones de su propia vida. A cada introducción temática, sigue una lección que enfatiza lacomprensión de la misma. Esta consiste de prácticas adicionales para reforzar la compresión
auditiva y estimular la conversación.Se utilizarán dinámicas y prácticas escritas en grupos y una variedad de diálogos.
A. Actividades de lectura:
Lectura o traducción individual.Lectura o traducción en parejas o en grupos.
B. Actividades de comprensión:
Ejercicios escritos en forma individual.Ejercicios escritos en parejas o en grupo.
C. Actividades verbales o diálogos:
Estímulo y respuestas individuales.Discusión general sobre un tema específico, participación grupal.
El profesor asignará trabajos individuales o en grupos para desarrollar en clase o como tareas,asumirá el papel de guía en el aula.
El primer día de clase el estudiante recibirá un cronograma con las actividades a realizar durante elcurso, fechas de las evaluaciones, porcentajes de las mismas, bibliografía del curso, etc.

VI. MINI PROYECTOS
Cada estudiante de manera individual deberá realizar mínimo dos actividadesdiferentes relacionadas con la unidad que les corresponda exponer. Este tendrá 15
minutos para realizar dicho proyecto. En los primeros 5 minutos se debe realizar unapresentación de la unidad; luego deberá realizar actividades (no pueden ser juegos enlínea, ni ejercicios que sea de completar hojas) en donde todo el grupo participe. Debenenfocarse en la gramática de la unidad, NO en el vocabulario. Este proyecto tiene comoobjetivo repasar la materia evaluada en la clase anterior.
Cada estudiante será evaluado con una rúbrica la cual tienen en su folleto (esta debeentregarla el día de la presentación al profesor para ser evaluados). No olvide lacreatividad en sus actividades ya que de esto depende su nota final y motivación delgrupo en participar.
