PROGRAMME FOR DISSEMINATIONOF EXPERIENCE AND BEST PRATICE
13 A Principal objective.
The candidacy of Nantes for European Green Capital is intended to enable innovative actions to be publicised and shared beyond the boundaries of its territory, to create networks, link experts from various fi elds of European research, and also to become a spearhead for the shared policies of various governments in Europe, similarly to the action taken in Copenhagen. It is also intended to involve inhabitants in carrying out this project.
13 B Communication objectives.
Highlight :
'Nantes Métropole, European Green Capital' open day.Attended by the President of the Republic, European and French VIPs, the President of Nantes Métropole and various mayors of communes in France.Presentation of the programme for 'Municipality of Nantes, European Green Capital'.
Plenary sessions and workshops : - 'A sustainable metropolitan area' : Cimate Plan, infrastructure, energy, waste, water and sewage, the
environment and biodiversity. - Innovative solutions : the Green and Blue Network, protection of biodiversity; agriculture around the city.- Eco-neighbourhoods in the Île de Nantes : wood-fi red heating, low energy constructions.- Waste, composting, Tri'Sac and the extension of selective collection.- Water/sewage : the quality charter.- Involvement of companies : the mobility plan, offer of equipment made of eco-concept materials, where
waste and recyclable products are concerned. - Involvement of communities : waste, composting, community Climate Action Plan and involvement of
municipal offi cers (zero pesticides, responsible public purchasing, electric vehicle fl eet, etc.) ;

Feedback :
- Climate Workshop : the 150 households involved relate their experiences and changes in their behaviour. And how Municipality of Nantes has adapted its public policies.
- Allo climat' : single number to call for everything to do with climate and CO2 emissions.
Plenary sessions and workshops on the Sustainable City :
- Vision of Nantes Métropole in 25 years' time : eco-neighbourhoods, public transport networks, trams, buses, tram-trains, car pools ;
- Practical applications of the Climate Action Plan ; - The success of Allo Climat ;- Relations with companies : a renewed offer ; - Meeting of European cities on the Climate Action Plan.

Themed weeks : Sustainable development, mobility, energy and waste reduction weeks.

Highlight. Visits to exemplary sites :
The exhibition 'My life… My city… My planet' dedicated to a young audience of 8-12 years, about the Nantes metropolitan area, a true point of entry to a vast teaching possibility.

A photo exhibition from the Ma vie, ma ville, ma planète (“my life, my city, my planet”) exhibition.
- Eco-neighbourhoods : Tournesol project in Pellerin, designated development area of Jaguère in Rezé, designated development area of Perrières in la Chapelle-sur-Erdre, and the Bottière-Chénaie neighbourhood in Nantes and the neighbourhood of Prairie au Duc, part of the Ile de Nantes project ;
- Sensitive natural spaces and consideration of biodiversity (Petite Amazonie, Grandlieu, etc), sustainable farmers ;
